[Also in Division B1] A micro-pipette for measuring and delivering liquids comprises a deformable lower liquid storage compartment 12, an upper temporary holding chamber 21 with opening 24 and measuring tube 26 having capillary openings, a stand pipe 16 connecting said chamber and said compartment, and a deflecting member 33 over the opening of the stand pipe to prevent spattering or escape of liquid. As shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 4, the deflecting member 33 which prevents frothing of the liquid, has enlarged upper portion 34, and lower portion 36 adapted to fit enlarged-bore section 31 and having protrusions 38 adapted to fit into annular recess 32.
