Abstract: The disclosure provides an apparatus that includes: a stage defining a build plane; a micro light emitting diode (μLED) array including multiple pixels and configured to emit ultraviolet (UV) light towards the build plane; a two-dimensional (2-D) voice coil manipulator mechanically coupled to the μLED array and configured to align the pixels of the μLED array with the build plane; and a control module programmed to cause the μLED array to illuminate a UV curable material at the build plane to form a stack of layers of the three-dimensional object, wherein the apparatus adjusts a UV illumination pattern for the layers of the UV curable material by varying an output intensity of UV light from the pixels of the μLED array and by varying an alignment between the μLED array and the build plane using the 2-D voice coil manipulator.

Abstract: A computing system may obtain, for each vehicle of a plurality of vehicles located within a location area, navigation data that indicates a travel route for the vehicle. Based on the navigation data for the plurality of vehicles, the computing system determines a subset of the plurality of vehicles that are within a threshold distance of each other and have respective travel routes that at least partially overlap. The computing system selects, based on a set of selection parameters, two or more vehicles among the subset of vehicles to form a platoon of vehicles that travel in a coordinated arrangement in proximity to each other during at least a portion of the respective travel routes of the selected vehicles. The computing system can direct the selected vehicles to form the platoon of vehicles.

Abstract: Implementations are described herein for building and/or applying a library of transformation templates to automate migration of source code. In various implementations, pre-migration and post-migration versions of source code that exist prior to and after migration of the source code may be analyzed. Based on the analysis, one or more transformations made to the pre-migration version of the source code to yield the post-migration version of the source code may be identified. A library of transformation templates that are applicable subsequently to automate migration of new source code may be built. In some implementations, for one or more of the transformations, a plurality of candidate transformation templates may be generated with different permutations of tokens being replaced with placeholders. One of the plurality of candidate transformation templates may be selected for inclusion in the library based on one or more criteria.

Abstract: A technique for simulating and optimizing the fabrication and design of a physical device is described. The technique includes executing a fabrication simulation of the physical device with a fabrication model that receives a fabrication specification as input and outputs a structural design for the physical device in response to the fabrication simulation. An operational simulation of the physical device is executed with a design model that simulates a field response propagating through a simulated environment of the physical device. The structural design output from the fabrication model is forward cascaded to the design model and an output from backpropagation of a performance loss error through the design model is reverse cascaded to the fabrication model.

Abstract: Active utilization of a robotic simulator in control of one or more real world robots. A simulated environment of the robotic simulator can be configured to reflect a real world environment in which a real robot is currently disposed, or will be disposed. The robotic simulator can then be used to determine a sequence of robotic actions for use by the real world robot(s) in performing at least part of a robotic task. The sequence of robotic actions can be applied, to a simulated robot of the robotic simulator, to generate a sequence of anticipated simulated state data instances. The real robot can be controlled to implement the sequence of robotic actions. The implementation of one or more of the robotic actions can be contingent on a real state data instance having at least a threshold degree of similarity to a corresponding one of the anticipated simulated state data instances.

Abstract: Implementations relate to improved crop field segmentation and crop classification in which boundaries between crop fields are more accurately detected. In various implementations, high-elevation image(s) that capture an area containing multiple demarcated fields may be applied as input across one or more machine learning models to generate a boundary enhancement channel. Each pixel of the boundary enhancement channel may be spatially aligned with a corresponding pixel of the one or more high-elevation images. Moreover, each pixel of the boundary enhancement channel may be classified with a unit angle to a reference location of the field of the multiple demarcated fields that contains the pixel. Based on the boundary enhancement channel, pixel-wise field memberships of pixels of the one or more high-elevation images in the multiple demarcated fields may be determined.
