    Abstract: Some examples of the disclosure are directed to systems and methods for displaying virtual presentations associated with a theater application in an augmented or fully-immersive three-dimensional environment. In one or more examples of the disclosure, the systems and methods include receiving a request to join a virtual presentation, and in response to receiving the request to join the virtual presentation, displaying a virtual presentation in a three-dimensional environment. The theater presentation is displayed in a manner that facilitates efficient communication between one or more presenter and one or more audience members who are part of the virtual presentation.

    Abstract: An input device, such as a stylus, can include adjustment capabilities that changes a size, shape, stiffness, or other characteristics of a portion of the stylus, such as the tip. The size, shape, stiffness, or other characteristics of a tip of the stylus can be altered to mimic characteristics of a particular writing or drawing tool. For example, the stiffness at the tip, the weight distribution, and/or moment of inertia of a particular tool can be simulated by altering the features of the stylus.

    Abstract: An assembly includes a rotatable and translatable input device having an axis of rotation, a circumference about the axis of rotation, and an optical encoder pattern disposed around the circumference. The optical encoder pattern includes a series of polygon facets about the circumference and a one-dimensional substantially retroreflective feature parallel to the axis of rotation. The assembly further includes an optical emitter configured to emit electromagnetic radiation toward the optical encoder pattern, and an optical receiver including a two-dimensional array of pixels. The optical receiver is configured to receive reflections of the emitted electromagnetic radiation from the optical encoder pattern and generate an irradiance pattern in response to the reflections. The optical emitter and the optical receiver are disposed along a sensing axis orthogonal to the axis of rotation.

    Abstract: While a view of an environment is visible via a display generation component, a computer system displays a user interface including one or more user interface objects. The computer system detects, via one or more input devices, one or more inputs; and, if the one or more inputs include a first input performed using a first input manipulator and a second input performed using a second input manipulator distinct from the first input manipulator, where the first input and the second input meet concurrency criteria, the computer system: provides a first input event for the first input to a first application and a second input event for the second input to the first application. The first input includes information identifying a target location and the second input event also includes information identifying the target location.
