Abstract:
A heat-active adhesive for a connecting circuit which is used for electrically connecting circuit electrodes facing each other in the pressing direction by heating and pressing the electrodes. The adhesive has an elastic modulus of 100-2,000 MPa at 40° C. after adhesion. The adhesive can contain at least an epoxy resin, acrylic rubber, and a latent curing agent. An acrylic rubber having a glycidryl ether group as a molecule is preferably used as the acrylic rubber.
Abstract:
A welding method for two members adapted to be welded and formed of a low-alloy steel for structural purposes causing the weld metal to develop martensite transformation during cooling after welding, so that the weld metal becomes expanded to a greater degree at room temperature than at a temperature at which the martensite transformation initiates. The welding material comprises a ferrous alloy containing C, Cr, Ni, Si, Mn, Mo and Nb, all of which meet substantially with the contents of the following equation (1): 170≦719−(795×C wt %)−(23.7×Cr wt %)−(26.5×Ni wt %)−(35.55×Si wt %)−(13.25×Mn wt %)−(23.7×Mo wt %)−(11.85×Nb wt %)

A hydroxystyrene-(meth)acrylate copolymer in which some phenolic hydroxyl groups are crosslinked with acid labile groups is blended as a base resin in a positive resist composition, which has the advantages of enhanced dissolution inhibition and an increased dissolution contrast after exposure.
Abstract:
A polymer comprising recurring units of formula (1) is provided wherein some hydrogen atoms of phenolic hydroxyl groups and/or carboxyl groups are replaced by acid labile groups. The polymer is crosslinked with a crosslinking group having a C--O--C linkage resulting from reaction of some of the remaining phenolic hydroxyl groups and/or carboxyl groups with an alkenyl ether compound or halogenated alkyl ether compound. The amount of the acid labile group and the crosslinking group combined is on the average from more than 0 mol % to 80 mol % of the entirety of the phenolic hydroxyl group and carboxyl group. The polymer has Mw of 1,000-500,000. R.sup.1 is H or methyl, R.sup.2 is C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, R.sup.3 is H, R.sup.4 is --COOR.sup.5, C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl or phenyl, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, taken together, may form --COOCO--, R.sup.5 is H or C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alkyl, x and y are integers satisfying x+y.ltoreq.5, p and q are positive numbers satisfying p+q=1 and 0

Abstract:
A fixing member has a hollow fixing roller and an induction coil inside the fixing roller for generating heat from an induction current. The fixing roller has an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface facing the induction coil and the inner surface also having a heat insulating layer formed of hollow glass.
Abstract:
A developing apparatus of an electrophotographic apparatus includes a housing for accommodating a developer, first, second and third developing rollers are rotatably disposed in the housing and arranged opposite to a photoconductor drum for conveying a developer carried on respective surfaces of the developing rollers, and a conveyor roller rotatably disposed in the housing for conveying the developer carried on a surface thereof to one of the developing rollers. First and second screw conveyors are disposed in the housing for conveying the developer in an axial direction opposite to each other. Each of these conveyors has an axial length larger than an axial length of the developing rollers. A partition wall is disposed between the first and second screw conveyors. A toner container for accommodating a toner is mounted on the housing. The toner in the toner container is supplied into the housing and agitators agitate the toner in the housing. A first doctor blade regulates the developer carried on the conveyor roller, a second doctor blade regulates the developer on the first developing roller, and scrapers scrape the developer from the second and third developing rollers.
