    Abstract: A smart motion detection device with a determining method includes a memory, a processor, and a sensor array coupled to the memory and the processor. An image captured by the sensor array is processed by the processor. The sensor array is adapted to pre-store the image into the memory when the processor is operated in the sleep mode, and the pre-stored image is transmitted to the processor when the processor is operated in the wakeup mode. The sensor array includes a comparator adapted to generate an alarm signal for switching the processor from the sleep mode to the wakeup mode in accordance with a comparison result of the pre-stored image. The determining method includes the processor analyzing images captured by the sensor array when the sensor array is activated to capture the images, and the processor analyzing images pre-stored inside the memory when the sensor array is not activated.

    Abstract: An action recognition system is illustrated. The action recognition system has an annular body, at least one light emitting unit, at least one light sensing unit and an action recognition module. The annular body is worn on a movable part of a user. One end of the light emitting unit is exposed on an inner side of the annular body, wherein the light emitting unit emits a first light beam illuminating at least a portion of the movable part. One end of the light sensing unit is exposed on the inner side of the annular body. The light sensing unit operatively senses a second light beam reflected by the at least portion of the movable part and generates a light sensing signal. The action recognition module is configured to operatively determine an action of the user according to the light sensing signal.

    Abstract: There is provided a navigation device including an image sensor, an analog to digital converter and a processor. The image sensor is used to output an analog image using an exposure time. The analog to digital converter is used to convert the analog image to a digital image using a resolution. The processor is used to identify an image quality of the digital image, and adjust at least one of the exposure time of the image sensor and the resolution of the analog to digital converter according to the image quality thereby adjusting the operation power by changing data length actually processed by the processor.

    Abstract: An image sensor apparatus includes a pixel array having pixel units each including an image sensor cell and a processing circuit. The processing circuit includes a bias transistor, second floating diffusion node, first switch unit, signal transfer capacitor, reset transfer capacitor, second switch unit, and third switch unit. Bias transistor is coupled between first and second floating diffusion nodes and has control terminal coupled to bias voltage.     Abstract: There is provided an image processing device including a light sensor and a processor. The light sensor is used to detect light and output an image frame. The processor identifies intensity of ambient light according to an image parameter associated with the image frame. When the ambient light is identified to be strong enough, the processor performs an object identification directly using the image frame. When the ambient light is identified to be not enough, the processor firstly converts the image frame to a converted image using a machine learning model, and then performs the object identification using the converted image.

    Abstract: There is provided a moving robot including a light projector, an image sensor and a processing unit. The light projector projects a vertical light segment toward a moving direction. The image sensor captures, toward the moving direction, an image frame containing a light segment image associated with the vertical light segment. The processing unit calculates a step distance and a segment feature according to the image frame, outputs a flag signal according to the segment feature to indicate whether the calculated step distance is confident or not, and perform a pixel interpolation in calculating the step distance to improve the identification accuracy.
