Abstract:
A speech circuit is disclosed which solves the serious problem of the degradation of the articulation of received speech voice in conventional circuits and permits pleasant communications at places where the background noise level is high. The circuit has a construction in which an input signal from a microphone is attenuated in correspondence to the background noise level to form a sidetone signal and a received speech signal from a speech channel is amplified in correspondence to the background noise level to form a new received speech signal.
Abstract:
A partially tert-butoxylated poly(p-hydroxystyrene) is prepared by subjecting poly(p-tert-butoxystyrene) to reaction of eliminating some of the tert-butoxy groups in an organic solvent at a temperature of 30.degree.-100.degree. C. in the presence of an acid catalyst at a molar ratio of acid catalyst/t-BuO group of from 0.050 to 2.0. During the elimination reaction, a change of solubility of the resulting partially tert-butoxylated poly(p-hydroxystyrene) is determined to calculate a degree of elimination of tert-butoxy groups. The reaction is terminated when a desired degree of elimination is reached. Through a simple process, partially tert-butoxylated poly(p-hydroxystyrene) having a well controlled t-BuO content is produced in high yields.
Abstract:
A polystyrene type monodispersion polymer having at least a monomer unit represented by the following general formula (I), and having a molecular weight which lies in the range 500-500,000 and manufacturing process thereof are disclosed; ##STR1## where R is a hydrogen atom or methyl group, and the R in the molecule may be identical or different.
Abstract:
An epoxy resin composition for forming prepregs is disclosed which includes an epoxy resin having at least two epoxy groups, a latent curing agent for the epoxy resin in an amount of 0.5-3.0 equivalents per equivalent of the epoxy groups of the epoxy resin, and a reactive, viscosity-increasing agent in an amount of 0.2-3.0 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin. The epoxy resin composition has an initial viscosity n.sub.I(50) at 50.degree. C. of 1,000-200,000 cP and an initial viscosity n.sub.I(23) at 23.degree. C. of at least 10,000 cP.
Abstract:
A control system for a torque converter includes a lock-up clutch provided in the torque converter for connecting input and output members of the torque converter directly, and a shift valve having first and second spools disposed in series in a sleeve for shifting an introduction of an engaging and releasing pressure acting on the lock-up clutch in accordance with positions of the first and second spools. The first spool is subjected to a first hydraulic pressure at one end thereof. The second spool is subjected to a second hydraulic pressure at one end thereof opposite to the one end of the first spool. The first and second spools are subjected to a third hydraulic pressure therebetween. The control system further has a first control device for controlling the first hydraulic pressure, and an adjusting valve for controlling the releasing pressure of the lock-up clutch. The shift valve provides the first and second spools with first, second and third positions corresponding to a converter condition, lock-up condition and slip condition, respectively. The shift valve is shifted between the second and third positions when the releasing pressure is relatively low so that the releasing pressure is continuously changed irrespective of the shifting action among the first, second and third positions of the shift valve. An abrupt change in the engaging force of the lock-up clutch is prevented.
Abstract:
A p-vinylphenoxydimethylphenylcalbyldimethylsilane homopolymer having a molecular weight dispersion narrow enough to ensure high resolution and high developability to resists containing said homopolymer as main component can be manufactured by anionic polymerization of a p-vinylphenoxydimethylphenylcalbyldimethylsilane monomer.
Abstract:
A plurality of rolls are supported and freely shiftable on a rotating supporting shaft. The rolls have a V-groove with a circular arc at the bottom of the groove. The plurality of rolls are arranged on a swivel table so that the rotating supporting shaft corresponds to the radial direction of the swivel table. A component of force acting on the roll in the direction of the supporting shaft is alleviated by a shift of each roll in the direction of the supporting shaft. This is accomplished by rotating the swivel table with the bottom of a metal sheet tapered cylinder pushed down against the V-groove. Thus, curling on the lower end of the cylinder is accomplished without generating a bulge in the neighborhood of the lower end of the cylinder and without preforming.
Abstract:
Short circuit between a lead terminal for a negative electrode and a positive electrode can of a coin type cell can be prevented by providing a protuberance for preventing short circuit on a part of the lead terminal for the negative electrode which part is to be positioned over an area where the lead terminal for the negative electrode and the positive electrode can are present adjacent to each other.
Abstract:

Abstract:
In the composition of a Ag alloy type material used for production of flutes, a specified amount of at least one of Ni, Fe, Co and Cr or at least one of Mn, Ti, Zi and Si is added to suppress softening and crystal grain size coarsening caused by annealing in production. Thus, flutes which generate brilliant sounds in mid to high notes can be obtained by using the above material.
