Abstract:
The apparatus includes a laminated core that has frontal end faces and slots with a winding extending in the slots. An electrical insulating end plate is provided adjacent at each frontal end face and adjacent to the winding heads of the winding. At least one of the end plates has a connecting box with a plurality of clamps for the ends of the windings and the terminal of a motor protection device.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an arrangement that includes a piston cylinder unit having pressure chamber in which fluid acts in opposition to a spring piston combination, a pressure generator and a fluid conduit extending between a tank and the tank. A first and a second valve are connected in series between the pressure generator and tank with the pressure chamber being in fluid communication with the connection between the valves. In known arrangements of the above type there is dead play wherein not every control signal corresponds to a defined position of the piston in the cylinder. However as disclosed herein the setting accuracy is improved by a throttle in parallel with valve that is fluidly connected between the pressure chamber and the piston cylinder unit. Also third and fourth valves may be connected in series between the pressure generator and tank and have a fluid connection between the third and fourth valves to the unit pressure chamber that is opposite the first chamber to provide a bridging circuit.
Abstract:
A refrigeration system having compressor controls responsive to the heat load on the system. Each selected evaporator of the system has a thermostatic switch unit which includes an associated temperature sensor in proximity to the evaporator. The thermostatic switch unit has an operating range with ON and OFF threshold values and function to operate an electromagnetic valve which controls the refrigerant admitted to the evaporator. The heat load to which the compressor controls are responsive is derived from the accumulated ON and OFF times of the switch insert.
Abstract:
The setting apparatus includes a housing having an operating grip mounted thereon for pivotal movement about a first axis between a neutral position and a second position for adjusting a signal changing device. An abutment member is mounted by the housing to pivot about an axis extending perpendicular to the first axis and has a face in abutting relationship to the face of a pressure face member. A rod and a spring are mounted by the operating grip for longitudinal movement and rotary movement relative to the grip to retain the pressure member face in abutting relationship to the abutment member face for selectively adjusting the neutral position of the operating grip upon rotation of the rod and resiliently urging the operating grip to its neutral position when the operating grip is moved out of its various selected adjusted neutral positions. The pressure member face is inclined relative to the axis of rotary movement of the rod and when the rod is rotated, pivots the abutment member relative to the housing and the pressure face. The signal device includes a first part attached to the operating grip pivot to pivot as the operating grip is pivoted and a second part mounted by the housing in engagement with the first part.
Abstract:
The expansion valve has an inlet connection fluidly connected to a main valve while the main valve is fluidly connected through an outlet connection to the inlet of the evaporator of a refrigeration system. The main valve has a housing that includes a main valve chamber and a valve seat for fluidly connecting the inlet connection to the main valve chamber and a valve member movable between an open position and blocking fluid flow through the valve seat from the inlet connection to the valve chamber. A pressure operated servo arrangement is disposed in the main valve chamber for controlling the movement of the valve element and opens to the pressure outlet of a pilot valve arrangement. The pilot valve arrangement is disposed in a branch path that opens to inlet connection and to the valve chamber downstream of the valve set for controlling the fluid pressure at the pressure outlet.
Abstract:
In a flow meter that works on the Coriolis principle there is provided a single tube that is bent to have two measuring loops and a single tube section that connects the adjacent ends of the measuring loops. Tubular attachment end portions are respectively connected through resilient tubular portions to the opposite ends of the two loops and may be part of the single tube. Two blocks have tube holder portions for having the tubular section and the measuring loops opposite ends adjacent their juncture to the resilient portions and the attachment portions adjacent their juncture to the resilient portions respectively extended therethrough. The measuring loops are oscilatable in the opposite direction while sensors are provided adjacent to the measuring loops for measuring the relative movement of the loops relative to one another to provide a measurement of the fluid flow through the loops.
Abstract:
In order to prevent dripping in an oil supply system for a burner nozzle there is provided a pump stop valve in the supply line that connects the pressure outlet of the pump to the burner nozzle and a nozzle shut-off valve in the supply line between the pump stop valve and the nozzle. A circulating valve is provided in parallel to the pump stop valve to open when the pressure between the pump stop valve and the nozzle shut off valve is higher than the pressure at the pump outlet. As a result if the oil in the supply line adjacent the nozzle expands, oil can return through the circulating valve to the line between the pump stop valve and the pump outlet.
Abstract:
There is provided a connecting rod for connecting a crank pin of an electric motor to a reciprocated piston. The connecting rod includes a sheet metal shaped member that at each end has a deep drawn cylinder mounting which in turn mounts a bushing that is of a greater axial length than the cylinder mounting. The shaped member has a longitudinal bead providing a depression extending adjacent to one of the mountings and terminate in spaced relationship to the other mounting whereby there is a planar surface extending transversely across the member longitudinally between the bead and the other mounting and adjacent to the widest part of the member to provide a bending line.
Abstract:
An electric laminar resistor and the method of making same wherein a thin metal film is applied to a ceramic substrate. Metal film material is removed to form a resistance track and recessed connecting zones at opposite ends of the track. A burnt-in thick layer paste is extended through the connecting zone recesses and solidified to form connecting elements that are adhered to the substrate. A glass frit coating is applied over the resistance track, but not over the connecting elements. The resistance of the resistor may be adjusted by separating a part of the track.
Abstract:
A housing mounts an input shaft with a clutch flange thereon, an output shaft with a clutch plate thereon, and bearings, sleeves and adjustment nuts for retaining the shafts in selected axially adjusted positions. The clutch plate and flange extend within a clutch chamber of the housing. Friction linings are mounted on the radial outer portion of the flange on opposite sides thereof. The radial outer portions of the plate and flange have depressions into which the linings extend whereby the axial dimension of the chamber is less than the combined axial dimensions of the linings and the plate and flange radially inwardly of and adjacent to the depressions. Switching apparatus provides a pressure differential on axial opposite sides of the plate to eleastically deform the plate between a neutral position, a braking position and a driving position.
