Abstract:
The invention concerns a two-strand cable window regulator for motor vehicles having two guide rails which is specifically designed to control spherically curved windows. The invention ensures exact conformity with a predefined raising/lowering path with extremely different radii of curvature of the window at the locations of the two guide rails. The present invention ensures exact conformity by modifying the travel distance of the window near at least one guide rail such that the travel distance of the window is either larger or smaller than the distance traveled by the respective carrier connected to the guide rail.
Abstract:
A hinge attachment for use with a conventional farm or corral gate which is positioned between the outer end of the gate and the supporting gate post. The hinge attachment permits the gate to be pivoted approximately 360.degree. with respect to the supporting gate post.
Abstract:
A storage cabinet is provided with a front opening for access to the interior thereof, and a door is coupled to the cabinet for movement between a closed position wherein the door extends vertically across the access opening, and an open storage position wherein the door is disposed generally horizontally and is positioned at least in partial overlapping relationship directly over the cabinet top wall. A pair of support mechanisms couple the door to the cabinet housing adjacent the upper corners thereof. The support mechanism includes an intermediate support member which is hinged on a bracket secured adjacent the front edge of the housing top wall for swinging movement about a horizontal hinge axis which is located adjacent the front edge of the top wall. A gear is rotatably supported on the intermediate support member with its rotational axis being spaced radially from the hinge axis. The gear is maintained in continuous meshing engagement with an elongate gear rack which is fixed to the inner side of the door and extends generally perpendicularly between the upper and lower edges thereof. A guide track is also fixed to the inner surface of the door in generally parallel relationship to the gear rack. The intermediate support has a guide part which is slidably engaged with the guide track, and which couples the door to the intermediate support so as to permit solely relative sliding therebetween and hinging generally about the hinge axis.
Abstract:
A door mounting assembly for a hollow cabinet utilizes a pair of vertically inclined elongated scissor members pivotally secured together at aligned centers lying in a place adjacent one side wall of the cabinet. The members are movable between a first compressed position and a second expanded position. Upper and lower horizontal guides are secured to the inner surfaces of the top and bottom of the cabinet. A vertical elongated third member is selectively secured both pivotally and slidably to the scissor members and is disposed in the guides. An end of one of the scissor members is pivotally secured to and is vertically slidable in a vertical support fixed in position in the cabinet.
Abstract:
Electromechanically actuated bifolding closure apparatus including a vertical support post; a pair of generally C-shaped frame members disposed in facing relationship and pivotally joined together at their distal extremities such that in a closed disposition the two C-shaped members lie in a single plane and form a rectangularly configured super-structure, and in an opened disposition lie in different, spaced apart parallel planes rotated either 90 degrees relative to or parallel to the closed plane; hinge apparatus pivotally connecting one of said C-shaped units to the vertical post; a motive power source carried by one of the C-shaped members at a position proximate the support post; a gear drive mechanism associated with the hinging apparatus at the post and at the pivotal connection of at least one set of the distal ends of the C-shaped members; and a mechanical drive linkage coupling the motive power source to each of the gear mechanisms, such that when the motor caused the associated drive linkage to be rotated in one direction, the structure is rotated from a closed position to an open position, and when the motor causes the drive linkage to be rotated in the other direction, the structure is rotated from the open position to the closed position.
Abstract:
A retractable door structure for a storage case including a pair of guide grooves formed from the front end to the back end of the inner surfaces of the case panel, sliding blocks connected to each other by a connecting rod provided in the guide grooves, and a pinion mounted in each of the sliding blocks which is designed to engage with a rack formed in the guide grooves. The door is pivotally held between the sliding blocks by rotary shafts attached to the corners of the door. By means of this structure, the door can be slid inside the case after it is opened and the door is easily pushed in and pulled out of the case since the sliding blocks holding the door slide smoothly in the guide grooves.
