Abstract:
An audio pouch is provided that secures an earpiece of a headphone assembly adjacent to the user's ear when worn. The audio pouch includes an inner panel and an outer panel that sandwich an earpiece of the headphone assembly therebetween, such that the earpiece is disposed adjacent to the user's ear when worn. The audio pouch includes attachments that retain helmet straps. The audio pouch is particularly effective with protective helmets having Y-straps extending from the helmet for attaching chinstrap thereto.
Abstract:
An wearable communications garment that includes one or more user-selectable inputs integrated into the garment. A sartorial communications apparatus may include a flexible material that is worn (e.g., as an undergarment) by the user and includes one or more interactive sensors that may be manually activated by a user, even through one or more intervening layers of clothing. The apparatus may also include one or more additional body sensors configured to sense a user's position, movement, and/or physiological status. The sensor(s) may be connected via a conductive trace on the garment to a sensor module for analysis and/or transmission. Methods of manufacturing the garments as well as methods of using the garments are also described.
Abstract:
Electronic necklace—headset for mobile electronic device in the form of a neck loop or necklace and a pair of wired headphones, where the headphone cords attached in close proximity to the back of electronic necklace and additionally connected together in the suboccipital node, located in the position of the device on the surface of the cervico-occipital region of the user to fix headphones and its cords, which reduces the slack of the cords and streamlines their excursion, creating conditions for continuous wear electronic necklace, including under the clothes, does not change the appearance of the user, allows to control an electronic necklace on touch over clothing, and inoperative can accommodate headphones shot and its cords in the back of the electronic necklace without having to remove the entire device.
Abstract:
A personal detachable multipurpose wireless armband loudspeaker system, having an armband assembly with at least one strap and a speaker dock that receives a loudspeaker therein. The armband assembly further has a device holder that receives a device, whereby the device is a computer, multimedia device, or smart phone. The speaker dock has at least one speaker dock anchor to secure the loudspeaker within the speaker dock. The speaker dock further has at least one disengage switch to unlock the loudspeaker from within the speaker dock. The speaker dock has a speaker base. The loudspeaker has at least one anchor lock receiver slot. The at least one anchor lock receiver slot receives the at least one speaker dock anchor to secure the loudspeaker within the speaker dock.
Abstract:
An acoustic device having a neck loop that is constructed and arranged to be worn around the neck. The neck loop includes housing that defines an acoustic volume, a first acoustic driver located at a first distal end of the housing and acoustically coupled to the housing, and a second acoustic driver located at a second distal end of the housing, opposite the first distal end and acoustically coupled to the housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus comprises microphone receivers (101) which receive microphone signals from a plurality of microphones (103). A comparator (105) determines a speech similarity indication indicative of a similarity between the microphone signal and non-reverberant speech for each microphone signal. The determination is in response to a comparison of a property derived from the microphone signal to a reference property for non-reverberant speech. In some embodiments, the comparator (105) determines the similarity indication by comparing to reference properties for speech samples of a set of non-reverberant speech samples. A generator (107) generates a speech signal by combining the microphone signals in response to the similarity indications. In many embodiments, the apparatus may be distributed over a plurality of devices each containing a microphone, and the approach may determine the most suited microphone for generating the speech signal.
Abstract:
An acoustic energy inductive device includes a first fabric, a second fabric, and a microphone. The second fabric and the first fabric are combined such that a resonant chamber is formed between the first fabric and the second fabric. The microphone is disposed in the resonant chamber for converting a sonic signal in the resonant chamber into an electrical signal. The first fabric and the second fabric are made of impermeable material.
Abstract:
Audio devices may include a first audio accessory and a speaker assembly configured for releasable attachment to the first audio accessory. The speaker assembly may include a speaker and a speaker housing coupled to the speaker, the speaker housing shaped to form an acoustic cavity proximate at least a portion of the speaker. The speaker assembly may be configured to produce a first emitted sound pressure level (SPL) profile over a range of frequencies when the speaker assembly is attached to the first audio accessory, and to produce a different second emitted SPL profile over the range of frequencies when the speaker assembly is not attached to the first audio accessory.
Abstract:
The present invention features a headband system comprising a headband, an adaptor removably attached to the headband, a music player. The music player is removably attached to the adapter and is configured to wirelessly engage to the adapter and be controlled by a plurality of control buttons on the adaptor via Bluetooth connection. The music player may be attached to the adapter directly or be placed at proximity of the adaptor to play music using the control buttons on the adaptor.
Abstract:
Detachable wearable electronic eyeglasses and head mounted gear with a plurality of electronic functions and interchangeable electronic function, and a wearable computer with optimal weight distribution and stretchable arms.
