Abstract: A touch panel includes a substrate, a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of first bridge portions, and a plurality of second electrodes on the substrate. A plurality of connecting pads is on a side of the second electrodes away from the substrate. The connecting pads are made of a non-transparent conductive material. An insulating layer is on the substrate and covers the first electrodes, the first bridge portions, and the second electrodes. The insulating layer defines a plurality of through holes. Each connecting pad is exposed from the insulating layer by one through hole. A plurality of second bridge portions is on a side of the insulating layer away from the substrate. Each of the second bridge portions extends into adjacent two through holes to electrically couple adjacent two second electrodes.

Abstract: An eyeball tracking architecture comprises a hot mirror, an infrared light source, and a camera. The hot mirror is disposed between a display in a head mounted display device and a human eye. The camera is disposed in the head mounted display and connected to a control circuit. The camera captures images of the infrared pattern reflected by the hot mirror, captures images of the human eye, and captures composite images of the infrared pattern and the eye and sends the image data to the control circuit. The control circuit performs compensation calculations using a line of sight mapping function, and calculates a position where the line of sight falls on the display. Then, the control circuit controls the display to display data relevant to and according to the image data and eye position.

Abstract: An adhesion structure for a curved protection cover comprises: a preformed film, an optical glue of flowing liquid material, and a curved protection cover. The preformed film is formed from a flexible film. The curved protection cover has a bottom surface and four side walls connecting to the bottom surface. A turning angle is configured between each side wall and the bottom surface. Each side wall includes a bonding area and a non-bonding, area. The preformed film is adhered to the bonding area via the optical glue. A groove is formed in such non-bonding area, so that the optical glue can be filled into the groove during the adhesion process so as to avoid the conventional overflowing phenomenon. In addition, the proposed groove can also be further used for the snap positioning of the process fixture or alternatively a positioning standard for a side curing light source.

Abstract: A thin light optical system of a wearable virtual reality display device having a convex lens and a concave lens. The secondary optical reflection through the convex lens shortens the focal length of the entire optical system to about 16.5 mm, so that the display can be placed 1 mm from the convex lens. The convex lens provides a magnification function of 6 times. The concave lens and the convex lens are made of light material thereby reducing the volume and weight of the virtual reality display device which increases the wearing comfort.

Abstract: A method for controlling a light source of a liquid crystal display (LCD) device includes dividing each frame of image to be displayed into a plurality of areas and obtaining a first brightness value of each area. Any difference between the first brightness values of any two adjacent areas is determined to be less than or greater than a preset threshold. If greater, the first brightness value of at least one of the two adjacent areas is adjusted to be a second brightness value, so as to increase the difference in brightness between the adjacent two areas. If less than or equal, the second brightness value of each area is rendered equal to the first brightness value. Light intensity or brightness of the light-emitting elements is thus adjusted for a high contrast display of areas where this is required.

Abstract: A touch system includes a processor and a touch array. The touch array includes touch units. Each of the touch units includes a driving electrode, a first sensing electrode, and a second sensing electrode. A first capacitor is formed between the first sensing electrode and the driving electrode. A second capacitor is formed between the second sensing electrode and the driving electrode. The processor is configured to: determine whether the touch array operates in an underwater mode according to the first original capacitance value and the second original capacitance value; determine whether a conductor touch event occurs according to a first threshold value and a voltage across the first capacitor when the touch array operates in the underwater mode; and determine whether a non-conductor touch event occurs according to a second threshold value and a voltage across the second capacitor when the touch array operates in the underwater mode.

The metal line and the bridge line are fabricated in the same layer, which can reduce the processes and reduce the material cost, and the metallization plating after forming can reduce the stretching effects of the conductive material.
