Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for providing a tire with an informative label. The method comprises supporting a tire, supplying a banding material to the tire and wrapping it in a loop around a part of the tire, holding the banding material at the neck of said loop, and connecting opposed areas of the banding material at said neck to form a label wrap. The invention further relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method and to a tire provided with the label. The informative label is easily removed by a mechanic and shows an improved processability and printability. The informative label further does not leave any adhesive or other residuals on a tire.

Abstract:
FIG. 1 is a front elevation view of a tire showing our new design, the rear elevation view being identical thereto; FIG. 2 is a right side elevation view thereof; FIG. 3 is a left side elevation view thereof; FIG. 4 is a front, right perspective view thereof; and, FIG. 5 is an enlarged partial front elevation view thereof. The short-dash broken line showing is for the purpose of illustrating unclaimed portions of the tire and forms no part of the claimed design.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cross-linkable rubber composition, a cross-linked rubber composition obtained by cross-linking such a rubber composition, a method of preparing a tyre and a tyre. In a cross-linkable rubber composition the cross-linkable rubber composition comprises, per hundred parts by weight of rubber (phr): ≤50 phr of a first rubber, the first rubber being a solution polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR) comprising an alkoxysilane group and a primary amino group; ≥20 phr of a second rubber; and a coupling agent, a filler, and a resin, wherein the rubber composition comprises >15 phr of a third rubber; and ≥10 phr of a fourth rubber; and wherein the composition comprises ≥1 phr to ≤20 phr of at least two coupling agents wherein one of the coupling agents is or comprises a mercapto based silane and wherein the ratio of the mercapto based silane to the second coupling agent is in a range of ≥2:1 to ≤10:1.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cross-linkable rubber composition, the cross-linkable rubber composition comprising a halogenated butyl rubber, a filler, and a resin. The resin is a terpolymer of ethylene, acrylic ester and maleic anhydride and is present in an amount ranging from ≥1 to ≤20 phr.
Abstract:
A pneumatic tyre comprising an inner surface of the tyre, wherein a sound absorbing device component is connected to the inner surface of the tyre. The sound absorbing device component comprises a panel with a plurality of perforations and two sidewall sections, the sidewall sections being distinct from the panel, wherein the sidewall sections are connected to the inner surface of the tyre and arranged opposite of each other and wherein the panel is borne by the sidewall sections, thereby positioning the panel at a distance from the inner surface of the tyre and defining an inner volume enclosed by the panel, the sidewall sections and the inner surface. Furthermore, ≥95 area-% of all perforations which permit access to the inner volume are located on the panel.
