Abstract:
A charger coupling for charging a battery includes a paddle and a receptacle. The paddle and the receptacle exchange information by radio waves. The paddle includes waveguides for guiding radio waves between an antenna of the paddle and an antenna or the receptacle. The waveguides improve the radio communication between the paddle and the receptacle.
Abstract:
The present system employs a high speed digital signal processor which is programmed to generate pairs of digitized waveforms, each pair representing a pair of different frequencies in response to coded input signals. Each pair of different digitized waveforms, when converted and combined into an analog signal, represents a "tone pair" as used in major telephone systems. The tone pairs are transmitted through an anti-aliasing filter circuit and therefrom through amplification circuitry to a tone pair decoder of the type used in major telephone systems. At the tone pair decoder the tone pair signals are reconverted into binary signals. The binary signals from the tone pair decoder are transmitted to a data processor in the system under test, whereat they may or may not be further decoded. Ultimately the binary signals are compared with the coded input signals originally sent. In this way, the system which is designed to handle digital signals and which is designed to handle digital to analog conversions, is tested. The test circuit employs components already present in the system, or readily adaptable from the major telephone systems equipment.
Abstract:
An electrically insulative frame configured for attachment to a dropped ceiling grid, having a plurality of cells formed by cell members, including an open cell having a cell opening. The frame insulates the cell opening when attached therein. A worker, having a head and torso, may extend his/her head and torso through the frame while being electrically insulated from the cell.
Abstract:
A mobile device case includes a reel assembly, including a reel, a supporting plate, and a hub between the reel and the supporting plate. The hub includes a first cavity between the hub and the supporting plate for housing a spring, and a second cavity between the hub and the reel for housing a flat flexible cable (FFC). The spring is wound in a first direction, while the FFC is wound in a second direction. The FFC includes a first end for electrically coupling to a female jack connector of a device. A female connector is electrically coupled to a second end of the FFC for engaging a male jack connector of user-provided headphones. When the reel rotates in the first direction, the spring tightens and the FFC loosens. When the reel rotates in the second direction, the spring loosens and the FFC tightens.
Abstract:
A device for connecting a cable (17) to an electric component arranged in a housing (18) comprising a support (1) and at least one contact member (2, 3) retained therein. The contact member (2, 3) has a cutting area (6, 7) that cuts through the insulation of the cable (17) and contacts a conductor of the cable. The contact member (2, 3) further has a contact area (4, 5) that contacts a conductor arranged in the housing (18). The support (1) is received in an opening of the housing (18) and the cable (17) is retained between the support and the housing (18). A particular advantage of this solution is that the support which carries the contact members simultaneously fulfills the strain relief function by clamping the cable between itself and the housing.
Abstract:
A vibrating tampon apparatus to provide relief from feminine menstrual cramps comprises a vibration element, a housing unit, and a tampon member. The vibration element provides a source of vibrations and is contained within the housing unit. The tampon member is fabricated of an absorbent material and covers at least a portion of the housing unit, while being held in place by retaining elements on the exterior of the housing unit. Electric power is supplied to the vibration element by a remote electric power source. The electrical connection between the electric power source and the vibration element is controlled remotely by a control unit that allows the apparatus to operate either momentarily, in a testing situation, or continually for the lifetime of the electric power source, which is for normal usage and cannot be interrupted by the user.

Abstract:
A folding pet bed includes a frame with a top face and a bottom face and includes: a spine; a first and second frame plates coupled to the spine to form rotating joints; the first and second frame plates including flexible arms, where each of the flexible arms includes a first end fixably coupled to the corresponding frame plate and a second end not fixably coupled to the corresponding frame plate; and a plurality of casters coupled to the second ends of the flexible arms at the bottom face of the frame. The pet bed further includes trays coupled to the frame plates at the top face of the frame upon which a pet may rest. The trays may be rotated toward each other to place the pet bed in a folded position for easy movement and storage.
Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing material includes: a chamber for the material, the chamber sealed by a flexible seal; a nozzle coupled to the chamber and residing at a front end; and a pump, the pump comprising: a piston that moves in a tube, and an activator. When a user presses the activator, the piston moves toward or away from the front end, and a portion of the material is emitted onto the user's palm or fingers. The pump emits the portion of the material regardless of a direction of gravitational pull. In one embodiment, the piston emits the material by directly contacting the material in the chamber. In another embodiment, air is allowed into the chamber through a weep hole, which resides between the piston and the material. The air is used to expel the material through the one-way valve.
