Abstract:
The present invention discloses a structure of a TFT-LCD and its forming process in order to reduce the number of masking steps for manufacturing the tri-layer structure of a TFT-LCD, and further provides a process for forming a TFT-LCD with four masking steps. In addition, the forming processes of a storage capacitor, a wiring pad and an electrostatic discharge structure are performed simultaneously with the forming process of a TFT-LCD.
Abstract:
A system for inspecting signals of the circuits on a panel is disclosed. The system comprises a moveable stage with a transparent work area for holding the panel to be tested; a probe for contacting the panel; a tester for receiving a signal via the probe; an image sensing device disposed in an opposite side to the probe with respect to the stage; and image display device coupled to the image sensing device. The image display device includes a screen having a cross mark. When the system is operating, the probe is aligned with the image sensing device such that the captured image of the probe is displayed on the center of the cross. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a method for inspecting the signals of the circuits on the panel by the system.
Abstract:
A method for polishing a liquid crystal display panel is provided. The liquid crystal display panel is provided with a thin-film transistor substrate that is provided with a pad area thereon. The polishing method comprises the following steps. A protecting member is provided. The protecting member is bonded on the pad area of the thin-film transistor substrate. After the liquid crystal display panel is polished, the protecting member is removed from the thin-film transistor substrate.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) cell chamfering apparatus mainly comprises a grinding disc rotatably disposed in a housing, a liftable cover sealed an opening defined in the housing and a vacuum device for creating a vacuum in the housing relative to ambient. The liftable cover is provided with a track device mounted thereon. A slidable V-shaped clamp is mounted on the track device for holding a LCD cell. The corner of the LCD cell is brought into contact with the grinding disc, which is rotating, through an opening defined in the clamp and a slot defined in the cover thereby chamfering the corner of the LCD cell.

A comb-shaped common electrode has a bar extending transversely and a plurality of teeth extending in a first lengthwise direction from the bar, in which each tooth of the common electrode has a continuous null-shaped sidewall. A comb-shaped pixel electrode has a bar extending transversely and a plurality of teeth extending in a second lengthwise direction from the bar, in which each tooth has a continuous null-shaped sidewall and parallel is disposed between adjacent teeth of the common electrode. An electric-field gradient is generated between the tooth of the common electrode and the adjacent tooth of the pixel electrode to form a non-uniform electric field.

A repair structure for repairing data lines and scan lines comprised in a thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) is provided. The repair structure includes a first conducting repair structure formed simultaneously with a gate conducting structure of the thin film transistor-liquid crystal display, an insulating layer formed on the first conducting repair structure, and a second conducting repair structure formed on the insulating layer simultaneously with a data conducting structure of the thin film transistor-liquid crystal display and connected with the data conducting structure, wherein a plurality of overlap regions having the insulating layer between the fist conducting repair structure and the second conducting repair structure are formed, wherein when the data conducting structure positioned in the overlap regions is broken, the insulating layer in the overlap regions is destroyed to make electric connection between the first conducting repair structure and the second conducting repair structure.

There is provided an OLED package including a substrate, a lighting component, a compound barrier layer, a moisture absorption zone and an inorganic barrier layer. The lighting component is formed on the substrate. The compound barrier layer completely seals the lighting component configured to block moisture and oxygen. The moisture absorption zone is formed on the substrate surrounding the compound barrier layer and is not formed upon the lighting component. The inorganic barrier layer completely seals the compound barrier layer and the moisture absorption zone configured to block moisture and oxygen.
