Novel compounds that are modulators of PPAR receptors, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates and hydrates thereof, processes for making the compounds, pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts, solvates and hydrates thereof
Abstract:
In an implementation of power supply adjustment, a power supply generates an output to a powered device that generates a control signal which is input to an adjustment circuit that generates a difference signal to adjust the output of the power supply.
Abstract:
An electronically controlled micro-dispensing apparatus (10) is described. The apparatus includes a container (12), an adaptor (18), a nozzle (28) and a control circuit (34 or 42). The container is filled with the chemical (104) and propellant (102). The adaptor, nozzle and control circuit are removable from the container and are reusable. The control circuits controls the length of pulse and the time duration between each pulse. By controlling these factors, the apparatus dispenses a precise amount of liquid over a set time period. The ejector allows for controlled dispensing and allows the liquid to be sprayed a greater distance. In the preferred embodiment, the apparatus are used to dispense a pheromone in an outdoor setting, such as an orchard (100), to control insects.
Abstract:
A lightweight backing plate for use with at least one of a railway brake shoe and a disc brake pad. Such lightweight backing plate being formed from a predetermined polymeric material selected from a group consisting of unsaturated polyester, polyphenylene sulfide, glass epoxy, phenolic polymers and various combinations thereof.
Abstract:
A control system for a riding turf mower. The control system incorporates an interlock system capable of controlling the cutting operation of the mower when traveling in a reverse direction. In a preferred embodiment the present invention includes a riding lawn mower having a prime mover, a transmission for transmitting power from the prime mover to a driving wheel to propel the mower in forward and rearward modes, a cutting deck with a rotating cutting blade wherein the cutting blade has a first condition where the blade rotates and a second condition where the blade is stopped, and an interlock system having an override switch wherein the cutting blade will not rotate when the mower is rearwardly propelled unless the override switch is activated subsequent to a first change in conditions from the first condition to the second condition and wherein a second change in conditions from the first condition to the second condition deactivates the override switch preventing rotation of the cutting blade when the mower is rearwardly propelled until the override switch is again activated.
Abstract:
An enabling circuit for use in a wideband signal distribution system is provided. The circuit includes a input port which receives a baseband source signal, a transmission path between the input port and the output port, an impedance matching device, and a power source connected to the impedance matching device which combines a biasing signal with the input signal in order to operate a diode switch which is connected to the output to the impedance matching device and located in a distribution unit of the system.
Abstract:
An electrical connector assembly (1) having a housing (10) and a subassembly (80) connected thereto for eliminating circuit-degrading EMI. Subassembly (80) includes a substrate (20) mounted to a frame (30). Substrate (20) comprises a rigid board with circuit traces (25,26), electrical components (28), and a pin array (22) thereby defining an electrical circuit path. Frame (30) is electrically connected to the circuit path and comprises a robust, metallic piece having locking clips (36) for electrically and mechanically attaching subassembly (80) to housing (10).
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a tool for installing and removing a housing which is positioned over a row of connector pairs and frictionally engaged with the rows of connector pairs, there being no integral connection between the housing and the contacts. The tool is designed to remove the housing when positioned over the contact members by utilizing a wedge on the tool which separates the contact members so that the housing can be pulled up over the contact members without rubbing thereagainst to remove any plating layers thereon. The housing is installed by the same tool wherein the housing is gripped and, upon insertion of the housing over the contact members, the wedge first spreads the contact members apart and the housing is disposed thereover without rubbing against the contact members. In the case of installation and removal of the housing member, the wedge is designed to push the contacts sufficiently far back so that they do not rest upon a preloading bar disposed within the housing. In this way, the housing can be removed by merely gripping the housing with the tool while the contacts are spread apart and then rocking the housing back and forth so that it can be removed upwardly over the contact members without sliding over the edges of the contact members. The installation would also require a gripping of the housing member but would not require the rocking motion, the housing being installed by a direct downward force thereon.
