An automatic document feeder includes a document stack unit; a conveying unit configured to separate a document from the documents stacked on the document stack unit and convey the document to a scanning position through a conveying path; document detecting units configured to detect the document; an upstream document detecting unit configured to detect the document, the upstream document detecting unit being arranged in the conveying path at an uppermost stream in a document conveying direction with respect to the document detecting units; and a determining unit configured to determine a passage of a trailing end of the document at positions of the document detecting units and the upstream document detecting unit and determine a presence of a hole on the document, based on the detection results. A detection range of the upstream document detecting unit is set to be wider than detection ranges of the document detecting units.

A fluid brake device has a case defining a fluid chamber. Magneto-rheological fluid is contained in the fluid chamber. A brake member is rotatably supported on the case and receives a braking torque according to the viscosity of the magneto-rheological fluid. The device has a movable member driven by a thermo-sensitive wax so that a volume of the fluid chamber is increased as the temperature in the fluid chamber is increased. The movable member is driven to maintain a pressure in the fluid chamber within an allowable range when the temperature in the fluid chamber is changed.

Devices, methods and programs for installing and uninstalling drivers are provided. For example, a computer-readable storage medium stores a driver management program. The driver management program that, when executed by a processor, may cause the processor to execute receiving an instruction to control an image processing device, downloading a driver program from an external device when the instruction is received installing the driver program for controlling the image processing device in a storage device coupled to processor and starting up the installed driver program.

A fuel feed system which causes liquid fuel to evaporate so as to feed gaseous fuel, provided with an evaporator which includes a heater which heats the liquid fuel to vaporize it and an electric heater which adjusts the temperature of the heater. The heater has a heat conduction surface which supplies heat to the liquid fuel. A difference between the temperature of the heat conduction surface of the heater and the boiling point of the fuel at the evaporator is used as the basis to change the temperature of the heater and adjust the heat flux at the heat conduction surface.

The via has a hole passing through the plurality of layers and a conductive section on a side wall of the hole. A print instruction device configured to instruct a print unit to print an image stored in an image storing unit storing a plurality of images is provided. The print instruction device comprises a display unit, an operation unit, and a controller. The controller is configured to judge whether each of the plurality of images stored in the image storing unit includes a person who is included in a past image which had been printed in the past, control the display unit to display information regarding the image which is judged to include the person who is included in the past image in a different form than information regarding the image which is judged not to include the person included in the past image, receive a selection of an image for printing through the operation unit, and instruct the print unit to print the selected image.

An amount of a rotational angle corresponding to a half of a play (included in an insert-fit coupling device having a maximum production tolerance) is set as a correction amount. When a shift range is changed to a target range, a target rotational angle for an output shaft corresponding to such target range is calculated. The target rotational angle is corrected to get a virtual rotational angle for the output shaft, so that the output shaft may be further rotated by the correction amount in addition to the target rotational angle. A control error for a stop position of a roller is controlled within a half of the play. According to the invention, it is not necessary to carry out a learning process for the play.
