    Abstract: A guide rail for an elevator system has an elongate length with a cross-section perpendicular to the length; the cross-section including a base section for mounting to a wall of a hoistway, and a blade section extending from the base section; the blade section including a guide surface for interacting with a guide element of a component movable in the elevator hoistway; the guide rail including: a pair of separate rail piece parts fixed together to form the guide rail; the pair of separate rail piece parts including a first rail piece part and a second rail piece part; the first rail piece part being formed from a first thickness of sheet material bent to have a cross-section of a first predetermined shape, and the second rail piece part being formed from a second thickness of sheet material bent to have a cross-section of a second predetermined shape.

    Abstract: A passenger conveyor system and an anti-collision device for step and comb plate. The passenger conveyor system includes a step chain having a plurality of steps, a comb plate and an anti-collision device, the anti-collision device includes an actuating mechanism connected to the comb plate and configured to, when a moving distance of a step adjacent to comb teeth of the comb plate to be engaged in a vertical upward direction of the passenger conveyor system exceeds a preset value, actuate the comb plate to be lifted up from an initial first position to a second position to avoid collision with the step; and a reset mechanism configured to return the comb plate from the second position to the first position after the step travels through the comb plate.

    Abstract: An escalator system is provided and includes a combplate including teeth, a moving step including grooves and being drivable to pass by the combplate at a step-combplate interface at which, when each tooth is correctly positioned, each tooth passes through a corresponding groove and a detection system. The detection system includes an emitter and receiver pair and is configured to determine whether a signal pattern, which is derived from communications of the emitter and receiver pair and which is partially reflective of conditions of the teeth, is indicative of at least one tooth being incorrectly positioned.

    Abstract: A brake system for a conveyor system. The brake system includes a brake, a distance detection device and a controller. The brake includes a brake arm and a brake lining connected to the brake arm. The distance detection device is arranged on the brake for detecting a first distance and a second distance between the brake arm and a brake drum, where the first distance is a distance between the brake arm and the brake drum when the brake is in an open state, and the second distance is a distance between the brake arm and the brake drum when the brake is in a closed state. The controller is used for determining a brake performance of the brake based on a difference between the first distance and the second distance detected sequentially, and for generating and sending warning signals when the difference is not within a preset range.

    Abstract: A method of monitoring health of an elevator system including: detecting, using a sensing apparatus, sensor data, the sensor data including at least one of an acceleration of an elevator car, temperature data of the elevator system, and pressure data proximate the elevator car; determining a health level of the elevator system in response to at least one of the acceleration of the elevator car, the temperature data of the elevator system, and the pressure data proximate the elevator car; determining whether the health level is greater than a selected threshold; determining that there is a potential health issue if the health level is greater than the selected threshold; determining one or more possible locations for the health level within an elevator shaft; determining a probability of each of the one or more possible locations; and displaying the probability of the health level being at a plurality of locations.

    Abstract: A system and method for adjustably positioning elevator guide rail. The system includes: an adjustment device arranged on a moving platform and having a clamping portion and a powering portion, the clamping portion being arranged to be capable of clamping an elevator guide rail to be installed through a power output from the powering portion and moving in a first, a second and/or a third directions, and the moving platform being capable of moving up and down in the first direction; a detection device arranged to detect current movement characteristics of the clamping portion when the elevator guide rail is not clamped or has been clamped by the clamping portion; and a control device connected to the detection device and the adjustment device, and arranged to adjust the position of the clamping portion in place by controlling the powering portion according to the movement characteristics.
