Abstract: In a projectile launch environment, a fuzing safety device independently generates its own voltage upon setback which then is then used to arm the projectile. The arming is done independently of any on board battery rise time, and setback scenarios are detected free of false impacts such as dropping or jostling. The fuzing safety device includes a piezoelectric sensor for detecting motion in the projectile.

Abstract: A garment assembly such as a uniform, a military uniform and a military combat uniform is presented. The garment assembly includes a helmet or head cover being cut from a fabric having a first camouflage pattern with a first set of intermixed colored blotches thereon. The colors of the first set of intermixed colored blotches being selected from a first group of colors including an Olive 527 color, a Dark Green 528 color, a Tan 525 color, a Brown 529 color, a Bark Brown 561 color and a Dark Cream 559 color. The uniform also includes a coat being configured to fit at least a portion of a human torso and a trouser configured to fit at least a portion of human legs, the coat and trouser each being cut from a fabric having a second camouflage pattern with a second set of intermixed colored blotches thereon, the colors of the second set of intermixed colored blotches being selected from a second group of colors comprising an Olive 527 color, a Dark Green 528 color, a Light Sage 560 color, a Tan 525 color, a Brown 529 color, a Bark Brown 561 color and a Dark Cream 559 color.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a device for dispensing pyrophoric decoy particulates where the device is comprised of at least one payload vessel having a structural wall that forms a cavity for housing a plurality of pyrophoric particles. The structural wall has at least one opening to facilitate dispersal of the pyrophoric particles. The payload vessels are inserted inside a tubular sleeve and hermetically sealed inside the sleeve. Within the sleeve the at least one payload vessel is also in direct contact with an expulsion assembly that upon activation pushes the payload vessels and its pyrophoric contents out of the sleeve to react with the air.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to composite munition cases that burn without significant residue, rugged enough to withstand rough handling, and provides for additional burn rate control over current state of the art metal and combustible munition cases. The munition cases disclose herein utilizes combustible composite materials having an inner and outer walls connected by support structures. The support structures can be radial walls or honeycomb shaped cells. In another embodiment wedge elements assembled into a cylindrical munition case is also proposed. Exemplary composite materials include felted fiber, foam celluloid and polystyrene.

Abstract: A rifled weapon barrel has increases the piezometric efficiency of the weapon system with varying rifling profiles throughout the barrel to maximize useful work out of the propellant gases. The weapon barrel includes a first rifling section at the breech end which progressively increases in twist rate to induce a torque spike on the projectile and maximize chamber pressure. Next, the weapon barrel includes a second rifling section which progressively decreases the twist rate to a level that may be unsuitable for aerodynamic stability but provides relief from the torque spike while minimizing pressure loss behind the projectile. Finally, the rifle then maintains this twist rate or decreases to increase stability of the projectile before exit.
