Abstract:
Fluorinated silane compounds, compositions containing the fluorinated silane compounds, and articles prepared using the fluorinated silane compounds and compositions are described. The fluorinated silane compounds can be soluble or dispersible in aqueous media, such as water, and can be used to coat articles, such as glass articles.
Abstract:
Modified poly(diorganosiloxanes), compositions, and articles comprising the same. The modified poly(diorganosiloxanes) can be soluble or dispersable in aqueous media. The articles can have modified poly(diorganosiloxanes) affixed thereto.
Abstract:
Antimicrobial compositions including an antimicrobial lipid, such as a fatty acid ester, fatty ether, or alkoxide derivative thereof, an enhancer, a surfactant, water, and an optional hydrophilic co-solvent. Such compositions provide effective topical antimicrobial activity and are accordingly useful in cleaning surfaces.
Abstract:
The present invention is a cleaning article including a substrate and organic abrasive particles dispersed on the substrate. The organic abrasive particles have a Mohs hardness of between about 2.0 and about 5.0. The cleaning article cleans greater than about 0.9 panels in 1,000 cycles and has a Schieffer Scratch performance rating of less than or equal to about 3.5.
Abstract:
Compositions include a water-soluble copolymer, a hydrophilic silane compound, and in some embodiments surfactant dispersed in a liquid phase. Methods of using the compositions to coat and optionally clean a substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Compositions include a water-soluble polymer, silica nanoparticles, and a combination of a nonionic and anionic dispersed in an aqueous liquid phase. The polymer is a water-soluble copolymer of acrylic acid and an acrylamide, or a salt of the same. Methods of using the compositions to clean and coat a substrate are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Fibers, which can be used for making wipes (e.g., antimicrobial wipes), wherein the fibers include a core comprising an aliphatic polyester; and an epoxidized fatty ester having greater than 4.7 wt-% oxirane oxygen, based on the total weight of the epoxidized fatty ester; wherein the epoxidized fatty ester is disposed on the surface of the fiber core.
Abstract:
This invention relates to coating compositions useful for the prevention and/or removal of limescale and/or soap scum. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a coating composition comprising acidified silica nanoparticles and a sulfonated polymer. The present invention is further directed to a method for the prevention and/or removal of limescale and/or soap scum from the surface of a substrate. The invention also relates to the use of such a coating composition for the prevention and/or removal of limescale and/or soap scum from the surface of a substrate.
Abstract:
The present invention is a cleaning composition including a binder, a gas generator, an acid, and at least about 0.1% water. The cleaning article has an aged Shore A hardness of at least about 10, an aged Shore D hardness of up to about 100, and a dissolution time of between about 1 minute and about 60 minutes.
