Abstract: A robot joint and a robot using the robot joint is provided. The robot joint includes a first part and a second part configured to be rotatable with each other around a joint axis. A flexible printed circuit board is further included with a first fixing point and a second fixing point respectively fastened to the first part and the second part. The flexible printed circuit board is spiral-shaped prior to bending. With the relative rotation of the first part and the second part, the flexible printed circuit board is bent at various bending portions. This makes the robot joint more compact with a larger rotation range and a long lifetime in a cost effective way.

Abstract: Embodiments of an apparatus for improving cleanliness of a robot and an associated robot. The apparatus includes a hoop adapted to be mounted on a joint of the robot to enclose a plurality of parts of the joint, wherein the hoop is shaped such that at least one gap is formed between the hoop and the plurality of parts. A suction port provided on the hoop and adapted to be coupled to a suction device to allow creation of a flow from the at least one gap to the suction port. Within the hoop enclosing the parts of the joint that move relatively and the suction port allowing creation of a flow from the gap to the suction port, debris generated due to the relative movement of the parts during operation of the robot can be removed with the flow.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining oil leakage of a gearbox and an associated robot. The apparatus includes a base arranged between the gearbox and a motor coupled to the gearbox. The base can be made of a oil-absorbing material such that a volume of the base changes when the base contacts oil. The apparatus also includes a signal generator coupled to the base and configured to cause an electrical signal or a change in a physical property of the signal generator in response to a change in the volume of the base. The apparatus also includes a controller coupled to the signal generator and configured to detect the electrical signal or the change in the physical property and to determine the oil leakage in response to a detection of the electrical signal or the change in the physical property.

Abstract: A stopper apparatus for robot rotary joint, for limiting the rotation angle of a turning shaft. The stopper apparatus includes: a rotary protrusion, fixed to the shaft and extended from an outer circumference surface of the shaft; a ring-like orbit, fixed to a mounting housing of the robot rotary joint, inserting the shaft therein; a first slider and a second slider, rotatably accommodated in the orbit and able to push each other to rotate; a stop protrusion, fixed to the housing of a robot rotary joint and extended in the direction of the center of the shaft; the rotary protrusion is able to directly push the second slider to rotate, while it is not able to directly push the first slider to rotate; the shaft, the rotary protrusion and the second slider cannot be obstructed by the stop protrusion when rotate, while the first slider is able to be obstructed by the stop protrusion when rotate, thereby the relative rotation between the shaft and the housing can be stopped. The present invention also provides a rotary joint and a robot. Compared with the existing prior arts, the proposed solution enables a rotation range larger than ±360 degrees.
