Abstract: The presently claimed invention is directed to the novel use of polyester obtainable by reacting a mixture comprising cyclohexane-1,2-dicarboxylic acid and an alcohol mixture comprising 1-nonanol, monomethyloctanols, dimethylheptanols and monoethylheptanols and subsequent hydrogenation of said total mixture as lubricants and a lubricant composition comprising these polyesters.
