    Abstract: An illuminated keyswitch includes a base, a keycap, a lift mechanism, and a light source. The keycap includes a cap body and a light guiding rod. The lift mechanism is connected to between the light guiding rod and the base, such that the keycap can vertically move relative to the base through the lift mechanism. The light source is disposed between the light guiding rod and the base and emits light toward the light guiding rod. The light enters the light guiding rod through an end portion of the light guiding rod and then emits out the light guiding rod from another end portion of the light guiding rod and a side surface adjacent to the another end portion toward the cap body. Thereby, the whole cap body can receives relatively uniform back light.

    Abstract: A magnetic keyswitch includes a base, a keycap, a curved supporter, a bracket and a second magnetic portion. The keycap moves relative to the base upwardly and downwardly. The curved supporter is disposed between the keycap and the base and has a first end and a second end. A first magnetic portion is disposed on the first end. The bracket slides relative to the base and is switched between a first position and a second position. The second magnetic portion is disposed on the bracket. An attractive force is generated between the second magnetic portion and the first end when the bracket is located at the first position, so that the second end supports the keycap at a first height. The attractive force is removed when the bracket moves to the second position, and the keycap is descended to a second height by an external force.

    Abstract: A keycap lifting mechanism increases the stability of supporting a keycap through structure designs of supports. For example, a pivot of two supports overlaps base holes of the supports along the pivot axis. For another example, each of supports has support arms extending non-parallel to the pivot axis. The free end of each support arm is connected to a base plate. For another example, among a plurality of pivotally-connecting structures between supports, at least one includes a fully-open pivot hole, achieved by two opposite hooks, and at least one includes a semi-open pivot hole, achieved by two opposite hooks and a blind hole. A long rectangular keyswitch structure includes a keycap and any of the above mechanisms. The distance from a sliding hole of one support to an adjacent keycap long side is greater than the distance from a holder hole of another support to another adjacent keycap long side.

The keycap is movable relative to the base plate through the keycap support mechanism. The keycap support mechanism includes an inner support and an outer support. The outer support and the inner support are pivotally connected with each other around a rotation axis. The outer support includes two outer frame portions and a central frame. The central frame is located between the two outer frame portions in a direction parallel to the rotation axis. Therein, in the case where the inner support is stacked on the outer support, the inner support is located inside the outer support and straddles the central frame.

    Abstract: A keyswitch structure includes a keycap, a base plate, a first support, and a second support. The first support and the second support are pivotally connected with each other and are connected to and between the keycap and the base plate. The first support includes a shaft socket, a shaft portion, and a protruding interference portion which are adjacently arranged. Correspondingly, the second support includes a shaft portion, a shaft socket, and a recess interference portion which are adjacently arranged. The recess interference portion has a relief space and a block beside the relief space. The first support and the second support are pivotally connected by engaging the shaft sockets with the corresponding shaft portions; therein, the protruding interference portion is located in the relief space, and the block obstructs the protruding interference portion moving out of the relief space.

    Abstract: A keyswitch uses a combination of springs connected in serial for providing a return force to a keycap of the keyswitch. When the keycap moves toward a base of the keyswitch beyond a transition position, one of the springs stops continuously deforming. It leads to an increment of the elastic coefficient of the combination of springs and an increment of the elastic stored energy by the combination of springs. Therefore, during a pressing on the keycap, the keycap can provide a light force feedback and then a heavy force feedback to a user. Further, the keyswitch can use a switch with a lateral motion, which can reduce influence of a resilient force produced by the switch on the up and down movement of the keycap. The keyswitch also can use an elastic piece disposed beside the keycap, which can provide a tactile feedback to the user.
