Abstract: Disclosed is a lubricant oil composition comprising: (A) a fluorine-containing aromatic compound, and(B) an alkyl- or alkyl derivative-substituted aromatic compound having a kinetic viscosity of from 0.1 to 500 cSt as measured at 40 .degree. C., wherein:the compound (A) is represented by the formula:R(XR.sub.f).sub.n (A)wherein X represents an oxygen or a sulfur atom; n is an integer of from 1 to 4; R represents an n-valent, unsubstituted or substituted aromatic group having from 6 to 60 carbon atoms; and R.sub.f represents an unsubstituted or partially substituted fluorocarbon group having from 1 to 25 carbon atoms; andthe compound (B) comprises at least one substituted aromatic nucleus, wherein a substituent is an unsubstituted or substituted alkyl group having from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, or a derivative thereof. The lubricant oil composition having a kinetic viscosity of from 2 to 500 cSt as measured at 40.degree. C. The lubricant oil composition exhibits not only excellent miscibility with hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants and hydrofluoroether refrigerants over a wide temperature range, but also satisfy all requirements of properties for use thereof as a lubricant in refrigeration equipment, that is, low temperature fluidity, low moisture absorption properties, high electrical insulation, prolonged durability, and excellent lubricating properties.

Abstract: A fastener driving tool prevents the tool from twice striking, so-called double-driving in a single driving operation. A portion closing the lower end of a cylinder of the tool is formed with an annular recess to receive a ring bumper as a shock absorber of a piston. The recess has a sufficient depth to move a lower portion of the bumper downward and upward. The bumper is fittingly pressed into the recess to form an air chamber in the recess closed by the lower end of the bumper. A check valve is positioned between the air chamber and a supply of the pressurized air to feed the pressurized air to the air chamber so that the pressurized air is further compressed by the bumper which is downwardly moved by the abrupt downward movement of the piston. Thus, greater reaction force is applied from the air chamber to the lower portion of the bumper so as to prevent a driver of the tool from the double-driving.

Abstract: A lubricant for use in a refrigeration system using a tetrafluoroethane refrigerant, which comprises a fluorine-containing compound represented by the following formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents a multiple bond-containing monovalent group, and A represents a mono-, bi- or trivalent unsubstituted or partially substituted perfluorocarbon residue, a mono, bi- or trivalent unsubstituted or partially substituted perfluoroether residue or a mono-, bi- or trivalent unsubstituted or partially substituted perfluoropolyether residue.This lubricant has a good miscibility with a tetrafluoroethane refrigerant as represented by HFC-134a over a wide range of temperatures ranging from the low temperature to the high temperature and is excellent in properties, such as heat resistance, lubricating properties, electrically insulating properties and viscosity-temperature characteristics.
