    Abstract: The inkjet recording apparatus includes a conveyance belt, a conveyance plate, a suction unit, an inkjet head, and a cleaning unit. The conveyance belt has a plurality of through holes. The suction unit causes the conveyance belt to suck the sheet. The conveyance plate includes a plurality of through holes formed in bottom portions of the plurality of recessed portions. The inkjet head includes a head main body and a head end portion adjacent to the head main body, and faces an upper surface of the conveyance plate via the conveyance belt. The cleaning unit removes ink adhering to a lower surface of the head main body. A ratio of the recessed portions per unit area in a facing region of the conveyance plate facing the head end portion is smaller than a ratio of the recessed portions per unit area in a region other than the facing region.

    Abstract: An ink for ink-jet recording apparatuses includes water, a pigment dispersion, an organic solvent, and a humectant. The pigment dispersion includes a pigment and a resin having a weight average molecular weight of from 35,000 to 140,000. An adsorbed resin proportion determined from the mass of a total amount of resin in the ink and the amount of resin separated from pigment among the resin is at least 0.97. And, the ink contains from 3% to 15% by mass of C1-C4 monoalkyl ether of polyhydric alcohol based on the mass of the ink as the organic solvent.

    Abstract: A maintenance device a maintains a head unit including inkjet heads. The maintenance device includes a plurality of caps, an air supply port and an air discharge port, one recovery part, and a plurality of air supply parts. The caps are provided for the inkjet heads, and attached on nozzle surfaces of the inkjet heads. The air supply port and the air discharge port are provided for the cap. The recovery part recovers air through the air discharge ports of all the caps.
