An image processing device includes: a display part on which various types of screens are displayed; a manipulation detecting part for detecting an input by a user on the screen of the display part; a setting part for setting an event to detect in response to the user's input among from multiple events by associating it with each screen displayed on the display part; an event determining part for running only an operational event determining routine corresponding to the event associated by the setting part with the screen being displayed on the display part of multiple operational event determining routines, each of which corresponds to the respective events, when the user's input is detected by the manipulation detecting part, thereby specifying the event corresponding to the user's input; and a controlling part for controlling operations based on the event specified by the event determining part.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: a first storage section that stores multiple pieces of firmware to be started in stages; a second storage section that stores firmware selected from the multiple pieces of firmware as a backup; and a hardware processor. The hardware processor detects tampering of each of the multiple pieces of firmware stored in the first storage section, and restores the tampered firmware by using the firmware stored in the second storage section in a case where the tampering of the firmware stored in the first storage section is detected. The hardware processor selects, according to an apparatus state, the firmware to be stored as backup in the second storage section.

An image forming apparatus to which an external storage device is attachable and from which the external storage device is detachable, includes a hardware processor, wherein the hardware processor, in response to detection of attachment of the external storage device, checks presence of a computer virus in a plurality of data pieces stored in the external storage device, determines a target data piece to be processed from among the plurality of data pieces stored in the external storage device, and in response to determination of the target data piece while the plurality of data pieces stored in the external storage device are being checked, checks presence of a computer virus in such a manner that the target data piece is given a higher priority than other data pieces.

An image forming apparatus includes: a hardware processor that detects multiple files stored in the external storage when an external storage is installed to the image forming apparatus, determines a scan order of each of the multiple files detected by the hardware processor, and scans each of the multiple files for viruses in the scan order; and an acceptor that accepts a print instruction for a file stored in the external storage, wherein the hardware processor determines whether it is necessary to execute virus scanning on a print target file before printing depending on whether the hardware processor has completed virus scanning on the print target file, which is the file for which the print instruction has been accepted by the acceptor.
