Abstract: A door skin is provided that includes at least one inner panel, an outer body portion surrounding the at least one inner panel, and at least one contoured portion surrounding the at least one panel and interconnecting the at least one panel to the outer body portion. The at least one contoured portion is recessed from the at least one panel and the outer body portion and includes a center base portion that interconnects with the outer body portion via a first sloping portion and with the panel via a second sloping portion. The first sloping portion and second sloping portions are preferably symmetrical and each of which include two bumps meeting at a vertex. The first bump is continuous with the center base portion and the second bump is continuous with either the outer body portion or the panel.

Abstract: A system for installing a door slab in a door frame. The system comprises an adaptable door mounting support configured to acquire a door gap and to support the door slab at a height off of the ground equal to the door gap. The door mounting support includes a frame member and at least one tie device provided to meter the door gap and hold the door slab in place off the ground at the height equal to the door gap. The frame member includes two A-shaped segments interconnected by a bottom section and together defining a door support channel therebetween. The at least tie device includes a cable tie extending across the door support channel and a locking tab attached to the cable tie by sliding the locking tab over the cable tie. The locking tab is lockable on the cable tie.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a door frame, particularly a door frame for a pre-hung door assembly, which is foldable to minimize storage space and to allow for enhanced logistic efficiencies. The door frame contains parallel, spaced apart, vertical jambs and a horizontal header connecting the top ends of the jambs. Each of the jambs and the horizontal header contains a front section and back section that are hingedly joined so that then can be folded on to each other. The hingedly joined front and back sections allow the door fame to be foldable to minimize space occupied during storage.
