Abstract:
A single piece contact element including a termination portion at one end, a female contact portion at the other end, a press fit region between the two portions, the press fit region being adapted to form a contacting region when the contact element is pressed into a circuit board. An opening is provided in the contact element in an area above the press fit region such that a press-in tool pin inserted through the female contact portion comes into engagement with a location of the contact element, which location is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the termination portion.
Abstract:
A plug connection for a shielded flat or round cable. A shielded connecting element (80,85) is connected in one piece with the cable shielding (91,95). The shielding connector element includes a housing contact part (70,86) which is in contact with a part lying on the ground or reference potential. The shielded connecting element (80) for the flat cable (3) extends between the cable core (92) and the cable shielding (91) and is in connection with the ground or reference potential. The housing contact part (86) for the round cable (30) is spring-loaded on the inside wall of housing (1).
Abstract:
High-strength filaments of dry-spun polyacrylonitrile are obtained by a process in which tension-reduced spun filaments are continuously stretched hydrothermally in one or more stages: where it involves several stages, stretching is carried out at a temperature of the stretching medium gradually increasing from stage to stage up to .theta.=.theta..sub.n and, in the final (n-th) stage, to a degree of at least 50% of the maximum degree of stretching; where it is carried out in a single stage, stretching is carried out at the optimal stretching temperature .theta..sub.n, after which the material is further treated in the conventional way, optionally with fixing of the stretched material to a pre-determined extent.
Abstract:
A smart-card reader is disclosed for receiving and locking a smart-card in a locking position. The smart-card reader comprises: a housing, a contacting apparatus, the contact elements of which are adapted to contact respective card contacts of the smart-card when the smart-card is in the reading position in the housing. A mechanical locking means for locking and releasing the smart-card. The mechanical locking means comprises a locking slide and a locking lever mechanism. The locking slide extends along and outside of the housing. The locking lever mechanism is located in front of the contacting apparatus when looking in the direction of the card insertion. The locking mechanism is also arranged above the smart-card and is adapted to lock the locking slide in the reading position.
Abstract:
The invention is related to a SMT-reader for SIM-cards and standard cards, where in a contact block is used. The contact block is mounted by means of soldering to a circuit board and contacting said circuit board in accordance with surface mounting technology (SMT). A card guide means disposed separate from the contact block and adapted to guide the SIM card or standard cards.
Abstract:
The contacting device described is designed to contact the contacts of boards of different sizes with preferably the same contact pattern, using a chip board reader which is adapted by means of a board holder, preferably a SIM board holder, in such a way that the SIM board can be read with the chip board reader.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a contacting apparatus for a SI module. The SI module is provided with contact areas adapted to be contacted by contact elements supported by said contacting apparatus. So as to achieve a contacting apparatus having small outer dimensions, the contact elements of the contact apparatus for the two rows of contact areas are arranged in an intermeshing manner.
Abstract:
A chipcard reader includes an arrangement for guiding a contact support which is reciprocally mounted between an initial position and a reading position. The contact support carries a set of contact elements adapted to contact the contact of chip cards in the reading position. The guiding arrangement causes a lowering movement of the contact support when the contact support is moved form the initial position to the reading position.
Abstract:
A contacting apparatus for a chip-card is provided. The contacting apparatus can be located for instance in an automatic teller machine or a telephone. The chip-card can be inserted into the contacting apparatus by an operator. If the chip-card is located in the contacting apparatus, the inadvertent removal of a card located in a card reading position might be undesirable. The contacting apparatus of the invention protects against such inadvertent removal of the card by including a protective collar which surrounds the end of the chip-card extending out of the contacting apparatus, or device within which the contacting apparatus is arranged, when the card is in its reading position.
