Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for receiving system information in a wireless communication system including a receiver that receives system information configuration information and receives system information in predetermined subframes of a radio interface, and a controller that determines the predetermined subframes according to the received system information configuration information and controls the receiver to receive the system information in the predetermined subframes, wherein the system information configuration information includes a subframe scheduling field with a plurality of bits, each bit being associated with a subframe and representing whether or not system information is to be received in that subframe. The present disclosure further relates to a corresponding apparatus for transmitting system information and to the respective receiving and transmitting methods.

Abstract: There are provided a user equipment and a method that selects at least one resource across a plurality of carries for transmitting at least one packet in sidelink. The user equipment includes: a sensor, operative to sense a plurality of resource pools of the plurality of carriers within a sensing window to obtain a sensing result, wherein the length of the sensing window is configurable or preconfigured; a resource selector, operative to obtain a plurality of available resources of the plurality of carriers within a resource selection window according to the sensing result, wherein the plurality of available resources are included in at least one resource pool of the plurality of carriers within the resource selection window, the resource selector is operative to select at least one resource from the plurality of available resources of the plurality of carriers within the resource selection window in accordance with at least one of a priority of the at least one resource pool and a priority of the at least one packet, and wherein the length of the resource selection window is determined according to a desired latency; and a transmitter, operative to transmit the at least one packet on the at least one resource which is selected by the resource selector.

Abstract: In a terminal, in a case where the sum of the transmission power for a first signal and the transmission power for a second signal that requires lower latency and higher reliability than the first signal exceeds the maximum transmission power in an overlap interval in which a transmission of the first signal and a transmission of the second signal occur at the same time, a control unit carries out power scaling with the quality of the second signal being prioritized over the quality of the first signal, in at least the overlap interval. A transmission unit transmits the first signal and the second signal obtained after the power scaling.

The MPDCCH is a PDCCH intended for the MTC terminal. The resource assignment bits are associated with a resource that is used when the MPDCCH and the PDSCH are transmitted in the same subframe and a resource that is used when the MPDCCH and the PDSCH are transmitted in different subframes.

The transmission power determination unit reserves desired transmission power for the uplink signal of the second TTI in the first TTI in a case where decoding of the downlink control information indicative of allocation of the uplink signal of the second TTI to be transmitted within the first TTI (e.g., a subframe) is completed before start of transmission of the uplink signal of the first TTI.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a resource allocation procedure for allocating time-frequency radio resources by a scheduler in a mobile communication system. A plurality of numerology schemes are defined, each partitioning a plurality of radio resources of the mobile communication system into resource scheduling units in a different manner. A reference resource set is defined per numerology scheme, each being associated to a set of radio resources usable for being allocated according to the respective numerology scheme. The reference resource set of at least one numerology scheme overlaps with the reference resource set of at least another numerology scheme in the frequency and/or time domain. The resource allocation procedure is performed for allocating radio resources to one or more user terminals according to the numerology schemes. The resource allocation procedure is performed for each numerology scheme based on a scheduling time interval defined for the respective numerology scheme.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for paging coverage extension UEs in a cell controlled by a radio base station. At least one CE-specific paging possibility is defined for paging CE-UEs. The CE-UEs in the cell regularly monitor the at least one CE-specific paging possibility. When the radio base station determines to page all the user equipments in the cell, it pages the CE user equipments in the cell at the CE-specific paging possibility, using a coverage extension technique. The disclosure also relates to a method for paging a CE-UE, which performs radio measurements by a CE-capable user equipment to determine whether coverage extension is necessary. The radio base station is informed about whether the CE-capable user equipment needs coverage extension and then pages the CE-UEs applying or not applying a CE technique depending on whether coverage extension is necessary.
