Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may perform an operation to obtain one or more channel state information (CSI) resources (e.g., new resources) from a set of resources indicated by a CSI report configuration. For example, the UE may aggregate or separate respective resources of the set of resources to obtain one or more CSI resources. The operation may be performed based on a first number of antenna ports associated with each resource of the set of resources and a second number of antenna ports associated with a codebook configuration. Thus, performing the operation may result in the UE forming one or more CSI resources for measuring CSI on the one or more CSI resources. The UE may transmit a CSI report based on measuring the CSI for a set of reference signals received on the one or more CSI resources.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station (BS), a signaling communication that configures a plurality of redundancy version (RV) index, transmit precoder matrix indicator (TPMI), sounding reference signal (SRS) resource indicator (SRI), and demodulation reference signal (DMRS) port combinations. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive. from a base station, signaling that indicates an indirect assignment of a slot for transmitting sounding reference signals (SRSs) in multiple SRS resource sets. The UE may determine whether the slot is available for the indirect assignment based on a first set of characteristics associated with the multiple SRS resource sets and a second set of characteristics associated with the slot. If the UE determines that the slot is available for the indirect assignment, the UE may transmit SRSs in the multiple SRS resource sets during the slot. If the UE determines that the slot is unavailable for the indirect assignment. the UE may refrain from transmitting SRSs in one or more of the multiple SRS resource sets during the slot.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for channel state information (CSI) for multiple transmission reception point (multi-TRP) transmission such as non-coherent joint transmission (NCJT), including determining subband sizes for CSI and rules for Part II CSI omission. A method that can be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration. The CSI report configuration associated with one or more CSI reference signal (RS) resources, each CSI resource including a set of ports or port groups. The UE selects one or more CSI-RS resources for which to report CSI and determines a subband size for sending a CSI report based, at least in part, on payload of the CSI report. In an example method, the UE can determine whether the UE has sufficient resources for the CSI report and omit at least a portion of the CSI based on the determination.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device allocated two sets of non-contiguous frequency domain resources may divide a set of modulation symbols associated with a codeword into two subsets of modulation symbols. The wireless device may map the two subsets of modulation symbols into two sets of pre-discrete Fourier transform (DFT) resource elements (REs). The wireless device may pad the pre-DFT REs according to a block based scheme or a comb based scheme. The wireless device may perform a first DFT on the first set of pre-DFT REs and a second DFT on the second set of pre-DFT REs to generate first and second sets of frequency domain samples. The wireless device may perform an inverse fast Fourier transform on the first and second sets of frequency domain samples to generate a time domain waveform that may have a low peak to average power ratio.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, abase station may employ a reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) that uses passive components to reflect incoming signals in one or more directions. The base station may dynamically configure the RIS to reflect an incoming signal in a specific direction. The base station may transmit, to one or more user equipments (UEs), a message indicating a configuration of one or more RISs. In some aspects, the configuration may include a location of a RIS, reflection angles of a RIS, or both. Based on the configuration, a UE may select a RIS to facilitate communications with the base station. The base station and the UE may communicate via the selected RIS. In some examples, the base station may communicate with one or more UEs via one or more RISs using RIS division multiple access (RDMA).
