    Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for facilitating device-to-device (D2D) communications on sidelinks. Some implementations more specifically relate to a user equipment (UE) determining sidelink communication parameter corresponding to UE assistance information or UE capability information. The UE may also determine an attribute associated with the sidelink communication parameter, the attribute indicating the sidelink communication parameter is a dynamic parameter or a static parameter. The UE may further transmit to another UE, on a sidelink, the sidelink communication parameter and the attribute. The UE may also communicate with the other UE on the sidelink based on the transmitted sidelink communication parameter and the attribute.

    Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication over a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The first UE may receive, from a base station, a first sidelink grant for a transmission between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may communicate the transmission according to the sidelink grant. The first UE may monitor a configured duration of a sidelink round trip time timer from the transmission. The first UE may monitor a configured duration of a sidelink retransmission timer from an end of the sidelink round trip time timer. The first UE may allow start of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode after the duration of the sidelink retransmission time if a second grant is not received during the sidelink retransmission timer.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may perform a physical layer measurement on a non-serving cell of the UE. The UE may report a measurement value of the physical layer measurement to a serving cell of the UE based at least in part on the physical layer measurement satisfying a threshold. The UE may receive, based at least in part on reporting the physical layer measurement, a physical layer reference signal measurement configuration for the non-serving cell. The UE may transmit a measurement report based at least in part on the physical layer reference signal measurement configuration. Numerous other aspects are provided.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication, by a first sidelink user equipment (UE), includes periodically receiving a set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals (RSs) from a second sidelink UE. The method includes incrementing a beam failure detection (BFD) counter in response to one or more reference signals of the set of sidelink beam failure detection RSs having a received signal strength below a threshold. The first sidelink UE starts a beam failure detection timer in response to the reference signal(s) of the set of sidelink beam failure detection reference signals having the received signal strength below the threshold. Another method by a sidelink UE may periodically transmit a set of sidelink BFD RSs to another sidelink UE. The set of sidelink BFD RSs comprise one or more sidelink receive RSs. The sidelink UE configures the other sidelink UE with the sidelink receive BFD RSs.
