Abstract:
A printer has a print unit that prints bidirectionally on a print medium; and an adjustment unit that prints, by the print unit, in contrast with each other on a second print medium, a first direction print image generated using first direction color conversion information for a first print medium, and a second direction print image generated using second direction color conversion information for a second print medium; the second direction color conversion information for the second print medium being second direction color conversion information for the first print medium that was adjusted.
Abstract:
An ink amount upper limit setting apparatus includes a target color designating section that accepts the designation of at least one target color for which an ink amount upper limit is to be set. A patch controller causes an output device to form patches in accordance with output values. A colorimetric value acquiring section acquires colorimetric values of the formed patches. A color reproduction determination output section outputs color reproduction determination information that indicates whether the target color is contained in a color reproduction region for each of ink amount upper limit candidates, on the basis of a coordinate value of the target color and the colorimetric values.
Abstract:
A apparatus including a head unit that includes first nozzles which eject a first liquid, second nozzles which eject a second liquid, third nozzles which eject a third liquid; and a control unit that controls driving of the head unit, in which, when an amount of the first liquid to be ejected from the first nozzles in order to form an image on the medium is a first ejection amount and an ejection state of the liquid ejected from the first nozzles is abnormal, the control unit increases the amount of the second liquid ejected from the second nozzles by a second ejection amount which is smaller than the first ejection amount and increases the amount of the third liquid ejected from the third nozzles by a third ejection amount which is smaller than the first ejection amount instead of allowing the first nozzles to eject the first liquid.

Abstract:
A color correction device includes: a color conversion unit configured to convert an input value in an input color space into an output value in an output color space; a selection unit configured to receive a selection, as a target color component, of one or more color components among a plurality of color components used in a printing device; and a correction unit configured to correct the output value in a manner of reducing the target color component when the input value represents a color not including the target color component. The correction unit reduces, when a specific multi-order color component different from the target color component is not included in the input value and the specific multi-order color component is included in the output value, the specific multi-order color component in the output value.

A color correction device includes: a color conversion unit configured to convert an input value in an input color space into an output value in an output color space; a selection unit configured to receive a selection, as a target color component, of one or more color components among a plurality of color components used in a printing device; and a correction unit configured to execute a first correction process of correcting, when the input value is a first type input value representing a color not including the target color component, a first type output value corresponding to the first type input value in a manner of reducing the target color component. The first correction process includes non-target-color component correction of reducing a color difference between before and after correction by correcting an output value component corresponding to a non-target-color component that is a color component other than the target color component among the plurality of color components.
Abstract:
A print image is acquired as first image data represented in a first color space used for forming an image on a first print medium. Second image data is acquired by performing, on the first image data, conversion into representation in a profile connection space using a first conversion table and white point conversion using the information on appearance in a redetermined observation environment, of a base color section where an image is not formed on the first print medium. The second image data is converted by using a second conversion table into converted image data represented in a second color space used for forming an image on a second print medium and an image corresponding to the print image is formed on the second print medium by using the converted image data.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus sets, when image data expressed in a first color space is converted, using a color conversion profile prepared in advance, into expression in a second color space used in rendering, whether to apply a printing profile including a parameter relating to color development at the time when an image is printed. The image processing apparatus performs color conversion according to the setting of the propriety of the printing profile, generates converted image data, performs, using the converted image data and a necessary parameter, physically-based rendering of a printed printing medium on which the image is printed, and generates a rendering image corresponding to appearance in a virtual space of the printed printing medium. The image processing apparatus displays the rendering image obtained in this way in a form in which a difference in the propriety of the printing profile can be compared.
