Abstract: An automated vending machine for vending, accepting returns for, and restocking, vendible products. Vendible products are stored on moveable trays, resting on a shelving system, and are transported within the automated vending machine by a gantry system and dispensing unit. The shelving system and moveable trays can be adjusted to accommodate vendible products of varying shape, size, weight, and durability. The moveable trays are gravity fed forward into position for being coupled with the dispensing unit when selected. A supplementary storage area for restocking products and storing returned products is included.

Abstract: An example device includes: an enclosure; a plurality of drawer units supported in the enclosure, each drawer unit movable between an accessible position and a secure position and comprising: at least one divider configured to divide an interior of the drawer unit into a plurality of compartments; a selectively securable compartment door for each of the compartments; detection elements configured to monitor the connection points; and a control system configured to: determine, for each drawer unit, a compartment configuration; and in response to an access request: identify a designated drawer unit and a designated compartment based on the determined compartment configuration for the designated drawer unit; and release the compartment door for the designated compartment to allow access to the designated compartment.

Abstract: There is provided a device for automatic asset management as well as a method for dispensing items from said automatic asset management device. The device comprises an enclosure, a shelving unit within the enclosure configured to store at least one item, a delivery hatch on the enclosure configured to allow access to the enclosure, and a dispensing unit within the enclosure. The dispensing unit comprises a front gate comprising an open portion and a closed portion, wherein the front gate is configured to control access through the delivery hatch and an elevator module configured to receive the item from the shelving unit, move to the front gate to link with the front gate, while linked with the front gate, move with the front gate to align the open portion with the delivery hatch to allow access to the item within the elevator module; and upon removal of the item from the elevator module, release the front gate to align the closed portion with the delivery hatch to restrict access to the delivery hatch.

Abstract: There is provided a device for automatic asset management as well as a method for dispensing items from said automatic asset management device. Abstract: An automated kiosk includes a storage structure housed by an enclosure, with the storage structure holding trays with items, grabbing unit for picking up trays, dispensing unit for delivering an item, a conveyer mechanism to position the grabbing unit and the dispensing unit and control system. The tray holding an item is associated with the grabbing unit and the dispensing unit and delivers an item to a customer. The tray holding an item can be returned, stocked and restocked by the automated kiosk.
