    Abstract: A display device is described including a display panel for displaying an image and an input sensing unit disposed on the display panel for sensing a user input. The input sensing unit includes: an electrode unit including first electrodes and second electrodes which intersect each other and a control unit for determining the proximity of an object or the shape of the object, based on capacitance change values of the first electrodes and the second electrodes. In a first mode the input sensing unit is driven using a self-capacitance method. The control unit may merge the capacitance change values, and determine the proximity of the object based on the merged value. In a second mode based on mutual capacitance, the control unit may determine the shape of the object.

    Abstract: An input sensing unit may include the following elements: a first sensing electrode including first sensors and a first connector coupling the first sensors; a second sensing electrode including second sensors and a second connector coupling the second sensors; a first sensing line including first sensing line parts and a third connector coupling the first sensing line parts; a second sensing line; and an insulating layer including a first insulating side and a second insulating side opposite the first insulating side. The first sensing line parts may overlap the first sensors and may be disposed on the first insulating side. The second sensing line may overlap the second sensors and may be disposed on the first insulating side. The first sensors may be disposed on the second insulating side. The second sensors may be disposed on the second insulating side.

    Abstract: A touch sensor for a display device includes: a base layer including first and second sensing regions adjacent to each other in a first direction and a non-sensing region surrounding at least one side of each of the first and second sensing regions; first sensors disposed in each of the first and second sensing regions and arranged along a second direction intersecting the first direction; second sensors disposed in each of the first and second sensing regions and arranged along the first direction; and at least one third sensor located in the first sensing region and the second sensing region, wherein the at least one third sensor includes first and second sub-sensors electrically separated at a boundary between the first sensing region and the second sensing region, and the first and second sub-sensors have substantially the same size.

    Abstract: A display device includes pixels to display one or more images in display frame periods and sensors overlapping with the pixels. The sensors sense one or more user inputs in sensing frame periods that are shorter in duration than the display frame periods. A first sensing frame period includes a first non-sensing period that substantially entirely overlaps with a first display frame period. A second sensing frame period includes a second non-sensing period that overlaps with a portion of the first display frame period and a portion of a second display frame period. The first non-sensing period and the second non-sensing period have different durations.

    Abstract: A display is provided. A display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate an active element layer disposed on the first substrate, and a sealing member coupling the first substrate and the second substrate, and a touch member disposed on the display panel and including a touch signal line and a touch antistatic line, wherein the touch antistatic line is disposed outside the touch signal line and at least partially overlaps the sealing member, and the touch antistatic line has light transmittance higher than light transmittance of the touch signal line.
