Abstract:
Provided is a solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell capable of suppressing a gas leak between a fuel electrode film side and an oxide electrode film side by suppressing deterioration of a solid polyelectrolyte film on its peripheral side. A solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell includes: a cell in which electrode films are provided on one side and the other side of a solid polyelectrolyte film, respectively; a first gas diffusion layer provided so as to cover the electrode film on one side of the cell; a second gas diffusion layer provided so as to cover the electrode film on the other side of the cell; and separators provided on the one side and the other side of the cell, respectively, with the gas diffusion layers interposed therebetween. The solid polyelectrolyte fuel cell includes: first insulating layers which are provided between the solid polyelectrolyte film of the cell and the gas diffusion layers and have electrical insulating properties; and second insulating layers which are provided on peripheral edges of the gas diffusion layers and have electrical insulating properties.
Abstract:
Provided is a backup method including a step (S1) of reading a log which is a data update difference, and identifying a data storage area (page) of backup data, a step (S2) of determining high/low reusability of the identified data storage area, a step (S3) of storing a log corresponding to a data storage area determined to be low in reusability in a log storage area preset on a memory, and a step (S4) of applying a log corresponding to a data storage area determined to be high in reusability to the identified data storage area in a cache area set on the memory, and updating the data storage area. Thus, by further reducing the number of I/O times in an external storage system of a standby system which backs up data by log transfer, it is possible to reduce introduction costs of a backup system and its normal-time operation's costs at normal times.
Abstract:
Person authentication for determining if there is a specified driver is performed by biometrics or the like. Then when authenticated that there is a previously registered driver, it is predicted that the engine will be started, and prior to the driver operating the ignition key, operation of a fuel pump, or a heater fitted to an engine fuel injection valve, is commenced. Thereafter when the ignition key is operated by the driver, control shifts to normal control.
Abstract:
Predicting of starting of an engine is performed in advance before starting of the engine. When the starting of the engine is predicted, a failure diagnosis of a device such as a heater, a pump and so forth, which are attached to the engine and to be operated before starting of the engine, is made. When the heater and the pump are determined to be normal from the result of the diagnosis, the heater and the pump are operated before the engine is started. With this, the temperature of the heater can be increased and the pressure of a fluid carried by the pump can be increased before starting the starting of the engine.
Abstract:
A recovery of a secondary DB is executed by a log including a update difference of a primary DB, and a command is executed by adding the command to the log and analyzing the log by a secondary site. An operation command execution in the secondary site is applied to the DB having the consistency in the transaction at the same timing as a primary site or an intended timing, by transferring and executing the operation command via the log. In the case that the command is constituted by a snap shot generating instruction, a plurality of volumes of a mirror set forming a secondary storage apparatus are set to a pair state and the secondary DB is written in each of the volumes and synchronized, and the mirror set is set to a split state after the synchronization is finished, whereby a secondary DB is stored.
Abstract:
A technology capable of preventing a problem which occurs when log writing of a preceding transaction fails while reducing waiting time of a subsequent transaction is provided. A database control method for releasing locking of data held by a transaction upon reception of a transaction completion instruction from an operation terminal or the like by a database is provided. The database includes an exclusive control module, a log output module, and a log buffer. The log output module stores a transaction completion log in the log buffer upon reception of the transaction completion instruction from the operation terminal. The exclusive control module releases locking held by the transaction upon reception of storage of the transaction completion log in the log buffer.
Abstract:
In a DR system, from the viewpoint of device cost, when search is not carried out, a physical application where log recovery is available by inexpensive DB appliance server is adopted. Further, a local mirror operation at a secondary site is not carried out. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of operation, by a log apply function unit, the tendencies of a log application and operations are monitored, and a search process is accepted according to the progress conditions of the log application. When the log application does not catch up sufficiently, the search is not accepted. Moreover, when a consistency guarantee of a secondary DB is made, not transactions in process at the moment of search instruction are undone (rolled back), but only transactions in process at the moment of a search instruction are redone (rolled forward).

Abstract:
A backup system includes a first storage device having first storage areas in which an update log of recorded data is stored; a second storage device having second storage areas which are paired with the first storage areas respectively and in which a copy of the update log is stored; and a disk controller. The state of a pair of first and second storage areas is changed from a non-pair state in which the update log is not stored in the pair of first and second storage areas to a pair state. The state of another pair of first and second storage areas is changed from a pair state to a non-pair state. The disk controller includes first and second disk controllers for controlling the first and second storage devices, respectively. The changes of pair/non-pair states are executed by the first disk controller.
