Abstract: An in-cell touch panel device includes a first substrate, a plurality of color filters formed on a layer on an opposite side of a touch surface with respect to the first substrate, a transmitter electrode formed on a layer on an opposite side of the touch surface with respect to the plurality of color filters, a receiver electrode formed on a layer closer to the touch surface side with respect to the plurality of color filters, and a second substrate, a pixel electrode being disposed on the second substrate. Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display device that can switch between the privacy mode and the public mode and achieve a high contrast ratio even during display in the privacy mode. The liquid crystal display panel includes: a liquid crystal panel; and a control circuit. The active matrix substrate sequentially includes a first substrate, a first electrode, a first insulating layer, and second electrodes each including a first linear electrode. The color filter substrate includes a second substrate, a black matrix, a color filter layer, a third electrode, and a fourth electrode which is disposed between the black matrix and the third electrode and to which constant voltage is applied. The third electrode includes second linear electrodes and overlaps a portion of the black matrix in a plan view. The control circuit switches between application of driving voltage and application of constant voltage to the third electrode.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate; a second substrate; and a vertical alignment-type liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a backplane circuit, a first interlayer insulating layer covering the backplane circuit, a first reflective electrode provided on the first interlayer insulating layer and including a first region located in each of pixels and a second region located between any two adjacent pixels, a second interlayer insulating layer covering the first reflective electrode, and a pixel electrode provided on the second interlayer insulating layer in each pixel. The pixel electrode is electrically connected with the backplane circuit in first and second contact holes formed in the first and second interlayer insulating layers. The first substrate further includes a second reflective electrode provided on the second interlayer insulating layer so as to overlap the first contact hole as seen in a direction normal to a display surface.

Abstract: A liquid crystal display device comprises a liquid crystal panel and a control unit configured to drive the liquid crystal panel, wherein the liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a second substrate, all of which are provided in a stated order, the first substrate includes a first electrode and a second electrode either stacked via a first insulating layer or disposed opposite each other, the second substrate includes a third electrode, the control unit includes a display mode switching unit, a gamma correction table memory unit, a gamma correction unit, and an image data output unit, the display mode switching unit switches between narrow viewing angle mode and wide viewing angle mode by controlling a voltage applied to the third electrode, the gamma correction table memory unit contains gamma correction tables by each of which a gray level is associated with an application voltage to the first electrode and/or the second electrode, the gamma correction unit acquires different gamma correction tables from the gamma correction table memory unit for the narrow viewing angle mode and for the wide viewing angle mode, performs gamma correction on original image data based on each of the gamma correction tables, and outputs resultant gamma-corrected image data to the image data output unit, and the image data output unit outputs a liquid crystal panel drive signal to the liquid crystal panel and adjusts the application voltage to the first electrode and/or the second electrode.
