The invention relates to a switching device for which a license database is used in which the software modules and respective license information associated therewith are stored, and wherein a configuration of at least one of these software modules triggers an interaction between the license database and a computer-readable data carrier, thereby generating hardware characteristic information. Said hardware characteristic information and the license information of the at least one software module are transmitted by the switchboard computer via a communication link to a license manager. Said license manager generates a license confirmation information and retransmits the same to the switchboard computer. The license confirmation information in the switchboard computer decides on the authorization of the at least one software module.

A method, a detection device and a server device for evaluation of a communication arriving via a connecting line at the communication device are provided. Communication information which can be read or determined from the incoming communication is detected by the detection device which is coupled between the connecting line and the communication device, and is associated solely with the communication device. Furthermore, the detection device checks whether the detected communication information matches predeterminable data pattern information, and/or whether a response message to be initiated by the incoming communication from the communication device via the connecting line is absent. If the check result is positive, the detected communication information is stored, and is read out during the course of a central evaluation process carried out by the server device

The invention concerns a method and a device for requesting subscriber communication to a communication system. Said communication system comprises a communication terminal having a first transmission/reception unit for a radio interface and a portable device having a second transmission/reception unit for the radio interface, for data exchange. Data concerning an authentication of the subscriber are exchanged through the radio interface. Once authentication is successfully completed, the subscriber request for communication with the communication system is granted.

Disclosed is a method, a communication system, and a communication device for transmitting data to a first subscriber, within the framework of a connection signaling from a first primary service communication device of the first subscriber to a second primary service communication device, a primary address information message associated with the first primary service communication device and a secondary address information message associated with a first secondary service communication device of the first subscriber is transmitted to the second primary service communication device. The transmitted address information messages are identified and stored via the primary service communication device. For the transmission of data to be transmitted to the first subscriber, the stored secondary address information message is transferred from the second primary service communication device to a second secondary service communication device, and is transmitted based on the transferred secondary address information message during transmission to the first secondary service communication device.

The invention is characterized in that a user profile for a program-controlled device is updated on a regular basis. The program is updated in accordance with said user profile. One advantage of the invention lies in the fact that peak loads of communication networks caused by the simultaneous transmission of program updates are avoided.

The invention relates to a method for supporting the mobility of a subscriber across a communication system comprising a communication terminal which is associated with a first communication device and can be registered when a log-on procedure is initiated by the input of log-on information relating to the subscriber, a second communication device for providing configuration data of the subscriber, and a packet-oriented network by which means the communication terminal is connected to the first and second communication devices. The activated application triggers the display of button programming information for selection for a respective button programming.
