Abstract: A flush toilet comprises a bowl including a shelf formed on the top edge of a bowl-shaped waste receiving surface, and a rim forming an inner wall surface rising from the outside edge of this bowl; and a rim spout portion for spouting flush water to the inside of the bowl. The rim spout portion is disposed on the bowl rim and forms a single rim spout port over the entire perimeter of the rim for spouting flush water, and the rim spout port is disposed on either the left or right of the front side region, and spouts flush water rearward. The region to the side of the rim spout port in the inner wall surface forms a continuous band over the entire bowl perimeter.

Abstract: A flush toilet includes a bowl including a rim formed on the top edge of a bowl-shaped waste receiving surface; and a rim spout portion disposed on the rim for forming a circulating flow by spouting flush water into the bowl. The bowl further includes a shelf between the top edge of the waste receiving surface and the bottom end of the rim, and a connecting surface for connecting the outside edge of this shelf and the bottom end of the rim with a curved surface. The connecting surface is arranged so that the curvature radius of its curved surface in the vertical direction is essentially constant from the bowl front portion across both the left and right sides, and so that its position rises toward the left and right sides from the front portion of the bowl.

Abstract: A flush toilet includes: a bowl including a rim formed on the top edge of a bowl-shaped waste receiving surface, a discharge path connected to the bottom of this bowl for discharging waste, and a rim spout portion disposed on this rim for spouting flush water within the bowl to form a circulating flow. The rim spout portion is disposed on either the left or right of either the side region or the front region of the bowl, and forms a rim spout port to spout flush water rearward. The width of the shelf is set to decrease from the side to the rear of the bowl.
