Abstract:
There is provided a caliper brake attachment tool which comprises: a supporting rod; a fixed part provided to one end side of the supporting rod capable of fixing an existing caliper brake; an applying part provided to the other end side of the supporting rod and applicable to a seat tube of the bicycle; and an engaging recess provided between the fixed part and the applying part in the supporting rod engageable with a bridge to connect a right-and-left pair of seat stays of the bicycle.
Abstract:
A brake pad (5) having a braking surface (9, 109), intended to be pressed during braking against a side (8) of a rim (3) of a wheel (2) of the bicycle (1), and thermal transmission means (11, 111) suitable for transferring heat away from the braking surface (9, 109) is disclosed. The heat that is generated at the braking surface (9, 109) during braking is taken away from the braking surface (9, 109) and transferred into other areas of the pad (5).
Abstract:
This invention relates to a “bicycle structure with concealable brake”, comprising a brake and a frame. The frame is a front fork having a positioning hole positioned on the joint of two fork portions for the brake to be pivotally disposed therein. In addition, the positions near the upper ends of the two fork portions on the front fork of said bicycle set two containing holes for respectively containing two brake pads of the brake; moreover, the activation of a brake cable of the brake enables the two brake pads to respectively extend out of the containing holes and clip a bicycle rim.
Abstract:
A piston (1) slidably mounted in a case (14), with an actuator cable (22) routed around a first cable guide (15) on the brake case, thence beside the piston to a second cable guide (6) on the end of the piston, which redirects it 180 degrees to return beside the piston to a cable end holder (12) on the case. The actuator cable runs parallel to the piston on both sides, transferring twice its tension to the piston. A cam (60) is provided for full control of the brake gain relative to the tension of the main cable from the hand lever. This adapts the brake to a given hand lever, and provides both fast braking response and high power via a variable gain curve on each stroke. Floating pads are provided for automatic toe. All brake position adjustments relative to the rim are easy and are independent of each other. Quick means are provided for changing the tire and pads, and these operations do not reset the brake position adjustments.
Abstract:
To arrange a mounting portion of a disk brake in such a manner as to not be offset from a bearing portion of a caliper bracket. A large diameter disk flange is formed on one side surface of a hub of a front wheel. An inner peripheral end portion of a disk brake is mounted on the disk flange. A small diameter boss is formed inside the disk flange on the hub. An inner end of a bracket boss formed integrally with a caliper bracket is fitted in an inner surface of the projecting end of the boss. The bracket boss is supported by inner and outer bearings on the axle. A center of the disk brake passes through a portion between the inner and outer bearings side. Accordingly, the mounting portion for mounting the disk brake on the disk flange is not offset from the bearing portion composed of the outer bearing and the inner bearing of the bracket boss. Furthermore, a torque link is provided connected between the caliper and the fork pipe of the motorcycle suspension so that the caliper bracket does not receive a braking force.
Abstract:
A hand operated hydraulic bicycle brake includes a brake pad holding unit which is actuated by a rolling diaphragm. A flexible fluid line couples a master cylinder located on the handlebars of the bicycle to the rolling diaphragm which controls a slave cylinder located adjacent to the rim of the front wheel of the bicycle. Actuation of the slave cylinder forces the brake pad into contact with the rim, and further actuation of the master cylinder causes the unit to pivot to bring a second brake pad into contact with the wheel rim.
Abstract:
A bicycle brake device comprises a friction member, a base member, and a piston. The base member includes a hydraulic cylinder. The piston is movable in the hydraulic cylinder in a movement direction so as to move the friction member toward a rotatable member. The piston is at least partially provided in a frame area defined by an outline of a bicycle frame when viewed from the movement direction in an attachment state where the base member is attached to the bicycle frame.
Abstract:
A hydraulic brake device includes a carrier body. The carrier body is integrally molded. The carrier body has at least one assembling portion disposed thereon for assembling purpose. The carrier body has at least one connecting portion respectively extending from the at least one assembling portion. At least one hydraulic brake assembly movably is mounted on the at least one connecting portion of the carrier body. The carrier body with the at least one brake assembly are adapted to assemble with a bicycle for providing a stable assembling effect, a high structural strength, and lightweight effect.
Abstract:
A brake mechanism for brake system includes a pad connector and a pad support to which the brake pad is connected, two link units are pivotably connected between the pad connector and the pad support. A buffering device is connected to two respective first ends of the pad connector and the pad support. When the brake pad touches the spinning wheel, the brake pad together with the pad support are movable relative to the pad connector such that the wheel is not sudden stopped completely and the pressure that the brake pad applies to the wheel can also be adjusted.
