Abstract:
A stretch releasable adhesive article includes first and second opposed major surfaces and a pull tab, and at least a portion of at least one of the first and second major surfaces is adhesive. The adhesive article has a cross-sectional area—as measured normal to the axis defined by a stretch release force applied to the pull tab during the stretch release process—that has a defined width to thickness ratio, and the adhesive article may have a visible light transmission of at least about 90%, and a haze of no greater than 5%.
Abstract:
Resin compositions which contain an epoxy resin, an alkoxy oligomer, and an inorganic filler provide insulating layers that have a surface with not only low arithmetic mean roughness but also low root mean square roughness in a wet roughening step and that are capable of forming thereon a plated conductive layer having a sufficient peel strength that can be formed while maintaining the glass transition temperature and thermal expansion coefficient.
Abstract:

The composition can further include polyorganosiloxane having the average compositional formula R26nR27o(OH)pSiO(4-n-o-p)/2, organohydrogenoligosiloxane or organohydrogenpolysiloxane that has the average compositional formula HqR28rSiO(4-q-r)/2 a transition metal catalyst and other components such as UV stabilizer, cure accelerator, pigment, dye, antimicrobial agent, biocide, surfactant, functional or non-functional filler, conductive filler, finely divided surface treated/untreated metal oxides, clay, plasticizers, tackifiers, mold release agents, adhesion promoters, compatibilizers, pharmaceutical excipients, surfactants or antistatic agents.
Abstract:
A siloxane compound according to the present invention is represented by the general formula (1): where X are each independently either X1 or X2 with the proviso that at least one of X is X1; R1 to R8 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a C1-C8 alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl group, a phenyl group or a pyridyl group; each of R1 to R5 may have a carbon atom replaced by an oxygen atom and may have an ether bond, a carbonyl group or an ester bond in its structure; m is an integer of 3 to 8; n is an integer of 0 to 9; p is 0 or 1; and Y are each independently a cross-linking group. This siloxane compound according to the present invention has higher heat resistance and flowability and easy formability at lower temperatures as compared to conventional silsesquioxanes.
Abstract:
Photovoltaic modules with adhesion promoters and methods for fabricating photovoltaic modules with adhesion promoters are described. A photovoltaic module includes a solar cell including a first surface and a second surface, the second surface including a plurality of interspaced back-side contacts. A first glass layer is coupled to the first surface by a first encapsulating layer. A second glass layer is coupled to the second surface by a second encapsulating layer. At least a portion of the second encapsulating layer is bonded directly to the plurality of interspaced back-side contacts by an adhesion promoter.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel polymer, an adhesive composition including the same, and a rubber reinforcing material treated with the same, and more particularly to an organic polysiloxane including a certain repeating unit, an adhesive composition including the same, and a rubber reinforcing material treated with the same.Because the organic polysiloxane and the adhesive composition including the same is superior in reactivity to a hydroxyl group, an amide group, or an amine group, and has high thermal resistance and low stiffness, the composition is preferably used for surface-treating a rubber reinforcing material such as a tire cord and make it possible to provide a rubber reinforcing material such as a tire cord having good properties.
Abstract:
A solventless releaser composition is provided comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane containing at least two alkenyl groups and at least one monovalent fluorinated substituent group and having a fluorine content of 30-50 wt % and a viscosity of 100-2,000 mPa-s at 25° C., (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane containing at least three SiH groups, (C) a reaction regulator, and (D) a platinum catalyst. The composition is coated and cured to a substrate to form a release liner for use with silicone pressure-sensitive adhesives.
Abstract:
Polydiorganosiloxane polyoxamide, linear, block copolymers and methods of making the copolymers are provided. The method of making the copolymers involves reacting a diamine with a polydiorganosiloxane precursor having oxalylamino groups. The polydioroganosiloxane polyoxamide block copolymers are of the (AB)n type.
