Abstract:
A fastening system for connecting mats is provided. The fastening system may include one or more features such as a hook and loop fastening system, a projection and trench fastening system, retainer and a tension strip securing system, and/or magnets to secure mats in place.
Abstract:
A flooring system includes polymeric modular floor tiles and at least one polymeric expansion joint. The modular floor tiles are affixed to each other, and to first and second expansion bodies of the expansion joint, by mating first and second connectors. The first and second expansion bodies each have interdigitated fingers and channels that extend underneath the expansion body web. The fingers of one expansion body slide in and out of the channels in the other, accommodating the thermal expansion and contraction of the modular floor tiles proximately or remotely joined to the expansion joint.
Abstract:
A floor tile expansion joint accommodates differential thermal expansion or contraction of modular floor tiles used in flooring applications. One or more rows of floor tile expansion joints may be connected to modular floor tiles for various floor tile applications.

Abstract:
A fastening system for rectangular slab-like panels having two long edges and two short edges and including retaining profiles arranged on the edges, of which oppositely arranged retaining profiles match one another in such a way that identical panels can be connected to one another. The retaining profiles in a connected state produce a form fit in a direction which extends perpendicularly to a laying plane in which the panels are to be laid, and/or produce a form fit in a direction which lies in the laying plane and extends perpendicularly to the connected edges. The retaining profiles have on the long edges and/or on the short edges at least one surface which interacts with a complementary surface when the retaining profiles are connected to one another. At least the surface or the complementary surface or the complementary surface includes a friction-increasing layer with an elevated first coefficient of friction, thereby strengthening the connection of the retaining profiles, wherein in a direction of insertion, in which the surfaces are moved relative to one another when connecting the retaining profiles, the friction-increasing layer has a second coefficient of friction which is less than the first coefficient of friction.
Abstract:
Structures are described that create spaces while installing anchor sheet and attachment piece subfloors, but which allow for the expansion and contraction of anchor sheets after installation. The structures may be used on either the attachment pieces, anchor sheets or both. In one embodiment, the structure is a deformable margin; in another embodiment, the structure is a pull-away strip.
Abstract:
Floor panels are provided with a mechanical locking system having small local protrusions which reduce displacement along the joint when the panels are laying flat on the sub floor and locked vertically and horizontally.
Abstract:
An arrangement which comprises: first and second panel-shaped pieces of flooring for joining together, said pieces resting on a sub-floor and having profiles along mutually meeting edge portions which, on the first piece, consist of a groove and a projection located thereunder, and on the second piece a tongue insertible in the groove, and also a recess accommodating the projection; wherein said projection, at its outer, free edge, is of greater thickness transversely of the plane of extent of the flooring piece than at its inner edge connected with remaining parts of the piece; and wherein the underside of the projection lies flush with the remainder of the underside of the flooring piece.
Abstract:
A fabric wall panel system includes wall panels mounted on a wall by means of a releasable hanger. Each fabric wall panel comprises a frame and a flat filler insert covered by a fabric. Each frame member has a flat spine, an outside web, an inside web, and a front web. Together the outside web, the inside web, and the front web form a hollow channel along the edge of the frame member with internal protrusions to engage the hanger and hold the fabric wall panel in place on the wall. The hanger comprises a resilient material with a flat base affixed to the wall with two forked tongues extend perpendicularly therefrom. The forked tongues engage the protrusions within the hollow channel to hold the frame member securely to the hanger and thus to the wall. The hanger with its resilient forked tongues assures proper spacing between the adjacent fabric wall panels mounted on the hanger.
Abstract:
A dismountable flooring block comprises a flooring block body, having a first mounting edge portion and a second mounting edge portion, the first mounting edge portion and the second mounting edge portion being thinner than the flooring block body and being laterally extended from the flooring block body. Two mounting members are respectively disposed on an upper surface of the first mounting edge portion and on a bottom surface of the second mounting edge portion, in which a mounting direction of the first mounting edge portion and a mounting direction of the second mounting edge portion are both parallel to an up-and-down direction of the flooring block body, thereby enabling the mounting member of the flooring block body to mount to a mounting member of another flooring block body.
