Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described for connecting multiple electrical connectors as a group with corresponding receiving sockets, or connection ports, in a medical device. A multiple electrical connector plate acts as an intermediate connector for quickly engaging or disengaging a group of electrodes with the corresponding device as a single unit. The connection plate includes multiple sections that allow a connector to be snapped securely in place on the connection plate such that the connector does not pull or push free from its snapped in location, resulting in group handling of electrical connectors that is less time consuming, reduces errors and positively impacts the quality of medical care.

Abstract: A modular surgical system for use in a surgical procedure to treat tissue is disclosed. The modular surgical system includes a footer module including a power supply, a first surgical module configured to be stacked on top of the footer module, and a second surgical module configured to be stacked on top of the first surgical module. The first surgical module is detachably couplable to the footer module to receive power from the power supply of the footer module to generate a first therapeutic energy for delivery to the tissue. The second surgical module is detachably couplable to the first surgical module to receive power from the power supply of the footer module to generate a second therapeutic energy for delivery to the tissue.

Abstract: A respiratory effort belt connector system and method for securing the belt to the user's body is provided. The respiratory effort belt connector system includes a belt coupled to the grip of a connector and a receptacle housing. The receptacle housing having a receptacle opening, a guide notch, a locking recess, and a locking lug located above the locking recess. The connector includes a barrel having an end configured to be inserted into the receptacle opening and a locking bar coupled to the barrel. The locking bar is configured to be aligned and inserted into the guide notch and then rotated into the locking recess where the locking bar/connector are retained by the locking lug of the receptacle. A connector neck couples the grip, which is configured to be accessible, to the barrel.

Abstract: A surgical instrument including a housing, an elongated portion, and a loading unit is disclosed. The elongated portion extends distally from the housing, defines a longitudinal axis, and includes an electrical contact. The loading unit is configured to releasably engage the elongated portion. The loading unit includes an electronic component, a proximal portion including an electrical contact in electrical communication with the electronic component, and an end effector coupled to the proximal portion and configured to manipulate tissue. Engagement between the elongated portion and the loading unit causes the electrical contact of the elongated portion to engage the electrical contact of the loading unit thereby electrically connecting the elongated portion and the loading unit.

Abstract: Distal connector assemblies that are on the distal end of medical lead extensions provide increased rigidity by including a rigid holder that contains the electrical connectors. The electrical connectors are separated within the rigid holder by insulative spacers that may be individual items or may be formed from a compliant carrier that the electrical connectors may reside within where the carrier is positioned within the rigid holder. The rigid holder may also contain a set screw block defining set screw bore or the rigid holder may include an integral portion that defines a set screw bore. The integral portion may include a slot to allow a molding pin loaded with the electrical connectors and other components to be dropped into a cavity of the rigid holder. An overmold may be present to surround the rigid body containing the electrical connectors and insulative spacers.
