Abstract:
Adhesive compositions that include self-assembling molecules, adhesives and adhesive articles produced therefrom, and methods of making and using such adhesives.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing a bitumen-bonded construction material mixture, such as rolled asphalt, where mineral matter is coated with bitumen that is sprayed onto the mineral matter. So as to have to heat the mineral matter only to a temperature T1 with 110null C.nullT1null160null C., a water-containing additive is mixed in, which is added immediately before and/or during and/or immediately after spraying the binding agent.
Abstract:
A process for making a fibered composition, including providing a coatable composition with a polymerizable adhesive composition and inorganic fibers, polymerizing the coatable composition to produce a fibered bulk polymer, and hot melt coating the fibered bulk polymer onto a first substrate to form a dispensable fibered adhesive layer. The fibers in the adhesive layer preferably have a mean fiber length of about 10 mils (0.25 mm) to about 60 mils (1.50 mm) and a range of fiber lengths from about 1 mil (0.025 mm) to about 100 mils (2.50 mm).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a multi-component composite film comprising a) polymer support layer; and b) porous gellable polymer layer which is formed on one side or both sides of the support layer of a), wherein the support film of a) and the gellable polymer layer of b) are unified without the interface, a method for preparing the same, and a polymer electrolyte system applied the same.
Abstract:
An asphalt paving method. The paving method includes the acts of laying an uncompacted asphalt mat on a sub-base, the mat having an upper surface, applying a liquid sealer on the asphalt mat, and compacting the asphalt mat.
Abstract:
A process is described which permits the electrostatic coating of nonconducting moldings with thermoplastic or crosslinkable copolyamide hot-melt adhesives.
Abstract:
A device for association with a rotatable powered roller (1) having an elongate cylindrical roll surface (2) adapted to be moved over a surface (9) of newly laid fluid and surrounding formwork (35), wherein the manner of association is such that the roller surface comprises an elongate substantially cylindrical texturing portion (2) and at least two guide portions (3), the guide portions (3) being adapted to support the texturing portion (2) at a required level with respect to the fluid surface (9) in manner to ensure partial embedding of texturing material distributed thereon, use thereof in texturing a fluid surface, method for texturing a fluid surface and a fluid surface obtained thereby.
Abstract:
A coating device for coating a coating solution on a web has a roller and a weir which partially constructs a solution store space. In the solution store space the coating solution is stored. When the web sequentially moves in a direction, the roller rotates and the solution in the solution store space is supplied on the web. Thereby a part of the solution overflows the weir such that another part of the solution may remain on the web to have a constant width in a widthwise direction of the web. A drying device has plural drying zones in which the web is fed after the coating of the coating solution. One of the drying zones is neighbored to the coating device. A top of the plural drying zones is constructed of a blow regulation member so as to confront to the solution on the web. The blow regulation member has holes through which is exhausted a gas evaporated from the layer of the solution on the web.
Abstract:
A resin coated carrier fabrication method and the related apparatus in which a metered material feeder is controlled to apply a bonding agent to the periphery of a continuously rotated material-transferring cylinder subject to a predetermined thickness and simultaneously a tape of carrier is extended over an impression cylinder, and then a driving mechanism is controlled to adjust the gap between the material-transferring cylinder and the impression cylinder for enabling the bonding agent to be transferred to the tape of carrier, leaving a blank area around the applied layer of bonding agent on the tape of carrier.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for zone controlling the temperature of a rotating roll. The apparatus includes a roll having a surface at a first temperature and a belt disposed adjacent at least a portion of the surface of the roll. The belt contacts the roll surface in a contact region and has a second temperature that is different from the first temperature of the roll such that the belt affects a temperature change in at least a portion of the surface of the roll in the contact region as the roll is rotated.
