    Abstract: A pressure detection device of detecting a forced state of a deformable object includes a body, an image sensor and a processor. The body is a deformable hollow structure. The body has an inner surface and an outer surface, and an identifiable vision feature is disposed on the inner surface. The image sensor is disposed inside the body and faces the inner surface of the body, and is adapted to capture a frame containing the identifiable vision feature on the inner surface. The processor is electrically connected with the image sensor, and adapted to analyze position variation of the identifiable vision feature within the captured frame for identifying a motion type of a gesture applied to the outer surface of the body.

    Abstract: A wearable device including a skin sensor and a processor is provided. The processor is configured to receive an authentication data for authenticating a user when a wearing state of the wearable device is adjacent to a skin surface of the user, share an authenticated state in response to a request from an electronic device when the authentication data matches a pre-stored data and the skin sensor determines that the wearable device does not leave the skin surface after the authentication data is received, and stop sharing the authenticated state when the skin sensor determines that the wearable device leaves the skin surface during the sharing.

    Abstract: There is provided an optical encoder with alignable relative positions between elements including an encoding medium, a sensor package and a memory. The sensor package includes a photodiode array and two alignment photodiodes opposite to the encoding medium. The memory records an alignment pattern associated with output signals of the two alignment photodiodes when the encoding medium and the sensor package are at nominal operating positions. When the encoding medium and the sensor package are not at the nominal operating positions, the relative position alignment is performed by adjusting current relative positions between the encoding medium and the sensor package to cause a current pattern associated with output signals of the two alignment photodiodes to be identical to the alignment pattern.

    Abstract: An interpolation circuit comprising: a phase shift circuit, configured to generate a plurality of phase shift signals; a first multiplexer configured to receive at least portion of the phase shift signals; a first comparator, comprising a first positive input terminal and a first negative input terminal; a second comparator, comprising a second positive input terminal and a second negative input terminal; a first state control circuit, configured to control the first multiplexer to switch to a different state according to a first comparing result and a second comparing result, wherein the first multiplexer outputs different ones of the phase shift signals in different states; and a first voltage level compensating circuit, configured to pull up or pull down a first output signal from the first output terminal or a second output signal from the second output terminal when the state of the first multiplexer changes.

    Abstract: An optical detection device is applied to an optical finger navigation apparatus and suitable for a variety of appearance demands in order to simplify product qualification procedure. The optical detection device includes a substrate, a housing, an optical sensor and a cover. The housing is disposed on the substrate and comprising a first aperture. The optical sensor is disposed on the substrate and adapted to receive an optical signal through the first aperture. The cover is disposed on the housing to cover the first aperture. The cover has a first surface and a second surface opposite to each other. The first surface with a contour matched with a shape of the housing is attached to the housing, and the second surface with a contour manufactured for a predefined appearance demand does not affect conjunction between the housing and the cover.

    Abstract: There is provided an operating method of an optical positioning system including: capturing an image frame of a detected surface, which has interleaved bright regions and dark regions, using a field of view and a shutter time of an optical sensor; counting a number of edge pairs between the bright regions and the dark regions that the field of view passes; calculating an average value of the image frame; calculating a ratio between the calculated average value and the shutter time; determining that the field of view is aligned with one of the dark regions when the ratio is smaller than a ratio threshold; and determining that the field of view is aligned with one of the bright regions when the ratio is larger than the ratio threshold.

The processor is configured to receive an authentication data for authenticating a user when a wearing state of the wearable device is adjacent to a skin surface of the user, execute a predetermined function in response to a request when the authentication data matches a pre-stored data and the skin sensor determines that the wearable device does not leave the skin surface after the authentication data is received, and reject or ignore the request when the skin sensor determines that the wearable device leaves the skin surface before the predetermined function is executed. The processor further calculates blood pressures according to PPG signals detected by a PPG sensor of the skin sensor.
