Abstract: A system includes a needle, an actuator assembly and a generator. The needle is configured to be vibrated so as to emulsify a lens of an eye. The actuator assembly, includes a first actuator, a second actuator and a third actuator, which are distributed around a longitudinal axis of the needle and are configured to vibrate along the longitudinal axis in response to a first driving signal, a second driving signal and a third driving signal, respectively. The generator is configured to generate the first driving signal, the second driving signal and the third driving signal, so as to vibrate the needle in accordance with a predefined pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to circuitry for driving a load. The circuitry comprises driver circuitry configured to generate a drive signal, based on an input signal to the driver circuitry, for driving the load, and commutator circuitry for coupling the driver circuitry to the load. The commutator circuitry is configured to alternate between commutation states in response to a level of the drive signal meeting a drive signal threshold or in response to a level of the input signal meeting a first input signal threshold. The circuitry is configured to apply an offset to the input signal when the input signal is below a second input signal threshold so as to increase a minimum level of the drive signal above the drive signal threshold or to increase a minimum level of the input signal above the first input signal threshold.

Abstract: An ultrasound imaging system has an array of ultrasound transducers comprising a set of sub-arrays of transducers. Each transducer (100) has an analogue buffer (106). Each sub-array of transducers has a signal path (102, 104) from within the array of ultrasound transducers to outside the array of ultrasound transducers which comprises one or more hops between the buffers (106). To reduce the signal line length from inside the array of ultrasound transducers to the periphery, at least some multiple hops between buffers (106) are provided. Each buffer hop introduces a delay, but prevents signal degradation so that a large number of analog signals can be transmitted across the large area ASIC of the transducer array.

Abstract: The invention discloses microparticle multi-channel time-sharing separation device and method based on an arcuate interdigital transducer. An arcuate interdigitated electrode is connected to an output channel of a signal generator. The arcuate interdigitated electrode and a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic channel are placed on a lithium niobate chip. The arcuate interdigitated electrode is mainly formed by an interdigitated electrode being asymmetrically bent from a straight line into an arcuate curve. Two electrode ends of the arcuate interdigitated electrodes are asymmetrically arranged with one end big and another end small. The PDMS microfluidic channel includes a main flow channel, two inlet ends, and multiple outlet ends. The main flow channel is an approximately arcuate flow channel arranged around an outer side of the arcuate interdigitated electrode. Particles are patterned in a coverage section of surface acoustic waves to complete separation of microparticles.

In this way, acoustic coupling of the electroacoustic transducer 400 and the transmission medium is improved.

Abstract: Devices for providing an acoustic wave to a target location include at least one transducer device and at least one beam-forming processor to cause the at least one transducer device to produce a first acoustic wave, the first acoustic wave includes a plurality of pulses having a pulse repetition frequency, where a pulse width of each pulse is in a range of 10 ns to 10 μs and the pulse repetition frequency is in a range of 1 Hz to 50 Hz, receive data associated with a second acoustic wave, wherein the second acoustic wave is a reflection of the first acoustic wave, determine a characteristic of the second acoustic wave, and determine whether to change a beam path of an acoustic wave produced by the at least one transducer device based on the characteristic of the second acoustic wave. Methods and computer program products are also disclosed.
