Abstract: Disclosed is a preparation method of a PTFE dispersion resin with a core-shell structure, including: adding a fluorine-containing hydrocarbon and a fluorine-containing modifying monomer as nucleating agents in an initial nucleating stage of polymerization, adding a small amount of a non-PFOA surfactant to regulate a particle core structure, and adding the same or different non-PFOA surfactant during a growth stage to stabilize a dispersion. The method can avoid the use of PFOA surfactants, consume less surfactants and achieve good emulsion stability. The PTFE dispersion resin thus prepared has a core-shell multilayer structure, low extrusion pressure, good thermal stability, and excellent mechanical properties, and is especially suitable for the preparation of small-diameter tubes by high-compression-ratio paste extrusion.

Abstract: Provided are methods for extending the life of in-service electrical cable having polymeric insulation, comprising injecting a dielectric enhancement fluid composition into the cable, wherein the composition comprises: (a) one or more organoalkoxysilane functional additives (voltage stabilizer-based, hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS)-based, and/or UV absorber-based); and (b) a catalyst suitable to catalyze hydrolysis and condensation of (a), the injected composition providing for rapid initial permeation of (a) into the insulation, and extended retention of subsequent condensation products of (a) in the insulation. Additionally provided are innovative silyl functional ferrocenes (e.g., containing a ferrocene moiety and a silyl function hydrolysable to silanol) having utility as functional voltage stabilizing additives in the methods.

Abstract: Disclosed are a liquid hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber, a preparation method therefor and the use thereof. In the liquid hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber: the content of acrylonitrile is 15-50%; the hydrogenation saturation is 75-99.5%; the weight-average molecular weight (Mw) is 3,000-60,000; the molecular weight polydispersity index (PDI) is 2.0-8.0; and the glass transition temperature (Tg) is lower than −28° C. The liquid hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber is low in molecular weight and wide in molecular weight polydispersity, simultaneously has an excellent fluidity during processing and excellent mechanical properties after curing and has a unique application value in the field of special rubbers; and the preparation method therefor is simple and feasible in terms of the process.
