Abstract:
A monitor adjusting apparatus include a monitor (10), a base (20) and an adjusting device (30). The adjusting device includes a first pivot assembly (40) connected with the monitor, a second pivot assembly (50) connected with the base, and a connecting assembly (70) mounted between the first pivot assembly and the second pivot assembly. The first pivot assembly generates a friction moment. The monitor generates a first gravity moment opposite to the friction moment. The second pivot assembly generates a twist moment. The monitor and the connecting assembly generate a second gravity moment opposite to the twist moment. The monitor stays at any obliquity under a balance of the friction moment and the first gravity moment, and stays at any height under a balance of the twist moment and the second gravity moment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a damping arrangement, in particular for displaceable furniture parts, comprising a damper which is provided with a tappet which can be impinged upon, and which can be supported by a support element. The support element can be positioned and/or displaced in relation to the tappet.
Abstract:
A device (15) for slowing the movement of a door (2) urged by unidirectional thrust means (4), including a casing (17) fixable to a structure (S) and defining a chamber (18) filled with a viscous fluid, and a rotor (31). The rotor (31) includes a disc portion (32) and a shaft portion (33) protruding through the lid (21) of the casing (17) in such a way as it can be associated with the door (2). The base surface (23a) of the chamber (18) has a recess (51) operable to house a pivotable arm (52). The arm (52) has a pin portion (54) protruding into the chamber (18). The lower surface (62) of the disc portion (32) of the rotor (31) has a groove (70) for engaging the pin portion (54) of the arm (52). At one end (73), the groove (70) has a cam (76) dividing it into a return path (75) and a forward path (74) for the pin portion (54) so as to define a locking position foe the rotor (31) in cooperation with the thrust means (4).
Abstract:
A damper has a cylinder and a piston, the piston having two or more parts. A first piston part is made of a rubber-elastic material forced against the cylinder wall during a damping stroke. A second piston part is made of a material that is stiffer in comparison to the rubber-elastic material. The second piston part as seen in the radial direction lies between an area of the first piston part and the cylinder wall. The first piston part may have at least two sections of different hardnesses over its lengths. The piston could also include a piston part that is radially forced outwards to rub against the cylinder wall during damping, the piston part being made as a solid body of a material with rubber-elastic properties which becomes flattened under pressure, deforming in such a way that a friction seal is created between the piston part and the cylinder wall.
Abstract:
A shock absorber with a shock absorber body having a cylinder. A piston is moveably guided in a receiving space of the cylinder. When the piston is moved, an air pressure generated in the receiving space exerts a braking force that acts on the piston. For air pressure reduction, the receiving space has at least one opening that produces an air-carrying connection between the receiving space and the environment. The shock absorber body has a simple design if the piston or the cylinder contains a receptacle into which an insert piece is inserted in a frictionally engaging fashion and if the opening is positioned between the insert piece and the wall of the receptacle that is touched by the insert piece.
Abstract:
An automatic sliding door closure device for use with a sliding door on a track. The device comprises a housing attached to the door having a connecting arm attached to the housing. A pulley rotatably mounted within the housing guides a cable having an exterior end attached to the doorframe and an interior end connected to the gear, rotating the gear when the sliding door is slid along the track. A spring engaged with the gear tensions rotation of the gear as the door is moved. An airtight cylinder parallel with the track has a plunger arm connected to the connecting arm that is drawn within the cylinder as the door is moved. A flexible member connected to the plunger arm creates an air cushion within the cylinder. An airflow control valve controls intake and outlet of air into the airtight cylinder controlling the closure speed of the door.
Abstract:
A mine door installation has a frame installed in a mine passageway. At least one door leaf is mounted on the frame for swinging movement between open and closed positions. Movement of the door leaf is powered by a pneumatic actuator. A pneumatically-powered control system may be provided to control the door installation. The pneumatic control system may comprise a calibrated vent to shorten the delay in the response of the door leaf to direction from the control system to stop moving. The pneumatic control system may also comprise a limit valve to prevent the door installation from opening when a second door installation is open, thereby preventing both door installations in an air lock from being open at the same time.
Abstract:
A braking and damping device for movable pieces of furniture has a fluid-cylinder (1) in which two pistons (2, 5) are arranged in a linearly displaceable manner. One of the pistons (2) is displaceable by a piston rod (3). Arranged between the two pistons (2, 5) is an elastically deformable sealing member, which, when damping occurs, is deformed by being squeezed between the two pistons (2, 5) and pressed against a cylinder wall (7).
Abstract:
A guide and support device (1) for the door (7) of an item of furniture (13) is described, comprising a support (2)—which carries at least one body (3), a second body (4) slidable on the support (2) and a spring (5) placed between the first and the second body (3, 4)—and a cable (6), having one end fixed to the door (7) and the other end fixed to the support (2), which slides at least in a first pulley (8) carried by the second body (4). Preferably, the first body (3) also carries a second pulley (9), at least the first pulley (8) carried by the second body (4) is a multiple pulley and the cable (6) passes in the races of both pulleys (8, 9). The first body (3) advantageously comprises means (10, 11) able to adjust the position thereof at the time of installation of the device (1).
Abstract:
In an opening-closing mechanism of a door member for shifting the door member from a closed position for closing an opening portion of a base member to an open position and vice versa, the door member includes a pair of arm portions. Each arm portion includes a circular arc shape gear and a rotary gear disposed in a center of the circular arc of the gear. The base member includes a first fixed gear portion with internal teeth engaging the circular arc shape gear portion, and a second fixed gear portion disposed inside the first fixed gear engaging the rotary gear. The arm portion is held to move vertically through engagements between the first fixed gear portion and the circular arc shape gear portion and between the rotary gear and the second fixed gear portion, so that the door member is shifted along a path corresponding to the first fixed gear portion.
