Abstract: A method of monitoring an industrial plant, implemented by an apparatus, includes receiving operational data from each of a plurality of electric drives via a corresponding communication interface. The method further includes converting the operational data from a pre-determined data format to a machine-readable data format and determining a plurality of events for each of the plurality of drives based on the corresponding machine-readable data. The method includes determining a plurality of critical events corresponding to the plurality of drives based on the plurality of events and generating a recommendation based on at least one of the plurality of critical events. The method also includes presenting the recommendation on an output device in a human readable format.

Abstract: A method for an auxiliary device of an auxiliary resonant commutated pole inverter (ARCPI) to determine a boosting time of the ARCPI is provided. The auxiliary device includes an auxiliary switch path that uses a resonant inductor with at least one saturable inductor. The method includes: calculating, by a processor of the auxiliary device, a first boosting time in the auxiliary switch path based on a theoretical resonance inductance and a voltage that are applied to the resonant inductor; determining, by the processor, a second boosting time in the auxiliary switch path based on a look-up table; and determining, by the processor, the boosting time in the auxiliary switch path based on the first boosting time and the second boosting time. The method further includes controlling, by the processor, boosting current of the ARCPI based on the boosting time in the auxiliary switch path.

Abstract: An industrial automation system comprises multiple process components, each categorizable into a cohort corresponding to a cohorting criterion. Some process components are configured to perform a machine learning (ML) process. A process component hosts at least a part of an ML model per cohort and communicates the ML model parameters among the multiple process components. The system assigns one or more of the process components to one of the cohorts according to the cohorting criterion; attributes the ML model parameters of a process component in a selected one of the cohorts to the ML model belonging to the selected cohort; determines a proximity value of each pair of cohorts; assigns a pair of cohorts to a respective neighboring cohort group when the proximity value meets a predetermined proximity criterion; and shares the ML model related data between process components belonging to the same neighboring cohort group.

Abstract: A thread drawing device includes a drive assembly which includes a drive wheel that has a working platform for supporting a thread, the thread has a fixed end fixed on an object and a movable end carried by a tool. The thread drawing device includes a pressing assembly which includes a pressing member configured to move between a first position at which the pressing member engages the working platform to clamp the thread to be pulled therebetween and a second position at which the pressing member disengages from the working platform to release the thread to be pulled. The thread drawing device includes a motor configured to rotate the drive wheel when the pressing member is at the first position so as to move a loose part of the thread at the fixed end from the fixed end to the movable end.

Abstract: A method for handling failure of a TSN communication link in a TSN network.
