The aluminum conductor having increase of its electric resistivity kept small at ultra low temperature of 30.degree. K. or lower even after cyclic strain is given at ultra low temperature, by controlling the crystal structure of the high purity aluminum conductor with purity of 99.9-99.9999 wt %. The crystal structure consist of (i) a veritable single or a substantially single crystal consisting of a bundle of sub-grains which have their crystal axes in the same direction or in the directions within a couple of degrees of deviation as a whole which has a specific crystal axis of or or the crystal axes close thereto in the longitudinal direction of the aluminum conductor, or (ii) a polycrystal most of which grains have respective specific crystal axes of and/or , or the crystal axes close thereto with respect to each grain in the longitudinal direction of the aluminum conductor, and have specific grain size of 0.01 mm to 3.0 mm.

Disclosure is a method for producing a cryostatic stabilizer composed of high-purity aluminum which comprises extruding the high-purity aluminum at an extrusion temperature of 250.degree. to 500.degree. C., an extrusion speed of not more than 20 m/min and an extrusion ratio of 10 to 150 by using an extruding machine equipped with a cylindrical die having helical grooves or projections on the inner surface. The method is industrially advantageous.
Abstract:
A projection display apparatus may include a light source, a power supply unit, a detecting unit, a nonvolatile memory, a capacitor, and a control unit. The power supply unit supplies power from an external power supply to the light source power derived from the received power. The detecting unit detects a cut-off state in which no or no sufficient power is being received by the power supply unit. The capacitor accumulates charges in response to power being received. Following detection of the cut-off state and even after turning off the light source, the control unit is operable to carry out a data storage operation in which at least part of the data is stored in the nonvolatile memory, wherein power to carry out the data storage operation is obtained from the charges previously accumulated by the capacitor.
Abstract:
An image pickup apparatus is disclosed which provides an appropriate inclination guide display in accordance with an aspect ratio of a picked-up image and the like. The image pickup apparatus includes an inclination detector which detects an inclination of the image pickup apparatus, a display device capable of superimposedly showing an inclination guide display corresponding to a detection output from the inclination detector, on a picked-up image, and an aspect ratio setter which sets the aspect ratio of a picked-up image. The apparatus includes a display controller which controls whether or not to show the inclination guide display on the display device on the basis of the aspect ratio set by the aspect ratio setter.
Abstract:
Provided is a vehicular roof structure, which can adjust the quantity of daylighting and which can be set to give a sense of spaciousness to a passenger in the rear seat by the wide field of view from the vehicular upper side while blocking the incident light upon the front seat side. Three louvers are enabled to change their angles of inclination with respect to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. If the individual louvers arranged at the blocking positions are oriented to slope in a slightly downward direction of the vehicle toward the rear side thereof, a passenger in a rear seat can see, while an incident light to the front seat side is being blocked by the three louvers, the outside of the upper side of the vehicle through the three inclined louvers.
Abstract:
To provide an imaging apparatus and a method of controlling the apparatus that enables improved automatic focus adjustment performance also in relation to an image having a shallow depth of field. An imaging element 103 includes a focus state detection unit for detecting a phase difference. A camera signal processing unit 106 generates a focus adjustment signal based on the imaging signal and outputs the signal to a camera control unit 109. The camera control unit 109 acquires an in-focus lens position in accordance with a focus lens based on a focus deviation amount based on a focus state detection result, calculates distance information related to the in-focus distance on the image screen, and controls the driving of the focus lens 102 based on the distance information and the focus adjustment signal from the camera signal processing unit 106. When a difference between the in-focus lens position and the position of the focus lens at the current time exceeds a threshold, the camera control unit 109 drives the focus lens to the in-focus lens position based on the distance information. When the difference between the in-focus lens position and the focus lens position at the current time is less than or equal to the threshold, the camera control unit 109 executes the in-focus control based on the focus adjustment signal.
