    Abstract: A control method and a display apparatus are provided. The control method includes dividing a display part into sections; detecting output luminance levels which correspond to grayscale levels of an input video signal on a section by section basis; converting the output luminance levels by calculating calibration coefficients on a section by section basis and applying the calculated calibration coefficients to the respective detected output luminance levels to control respective maximum luminance levels of the detected output luminance levels to be a permitted luminance level; and setting up a calibration table based on the respective converted luminance levels and a reference luminance level. The display apparatus includes a display part which comprises a plurality of sections; a signal processing part; and a controller which detects output luminance levels on a section by section basis, converts the output luminance levels, and sets up a calibration table.

    Abstract: A flat panel display which can adjust a white balance to a proper level according to the difference among the crystal grains of driving TFT active layers without changing the sizes of the driving TFT active layers. The flat panel display also can obtain an appropriate luminance by supplying an optimal amount of current to each sub-pixel. The flat panel display has a plurality of pixels. Each of the pixels includes a plurality of sub-pixels and each sub-pixel has a self-luminescent element and a driving thin film transistor. Each of the driving thin film transistors has a semiconductor active layer having a channel region is connected to the self-luminescent element of the corresponding sub-pixel in order to supply current to each of the self-luminescent elements. At least the channel regions of the semiconductor active layers have crystal grains of different sizes or shapes for different sub-pixels.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a high-speed flat panel display with a long lifetime, wherein thin film transistors in a pixel array portion in which a plurality of pixels are arranged and a driving circuit portion for driving the pixels of the pixel array portion, have different resistance values than each other or have different geometric structures than each other. The flat panel display comprises a pixel array portion where a plurality of pixels are arranged, and a driving circuit portion for driving the pixels of the pixel array portion. The thin film transistors in the pixel array portion and the driving circuit portion have different resistance values in their gate regions or drain regions than each other, or have different geometric structures than each other. One of the thin film transistors in the pixel array portion and the thin film transistors in the driving circuit has zigzag shape in its gate region or drain region or has an offset region.

    Abstract: An air freshener generating apparatus of a vehicle air conditioning system includes a body in which an inlet pipe is communicated with an outlet pipe and on a circumferential surface of which ball plungers are mounted at intervals along circumferential lines on which the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe are located respectively, a cartridge rotatably coupled to the body and having at least one partition wall such that at least one air freshener emitter is filled within spaces defined by the partition wall, the cartridge having through-holes facing the ball plungers, and an actuator configured to rotate the cartridge by a predetermined angle. When the cartridge is rotated by the predetermined angle, air is supplied through the through-hole facing the inlet pipe such that one air freshener is discharged through the through-hole facing the outlet pipe, and the ball plungers are configured to block the rest of the through-holes.
