Abstract:
A method for continuously controlling color of a display device comprises the steps of receiving three sets of data respectively representing the portions of three primary colors, accumulating three counts in accordance with the data, respectively, and setting three bistable devices for the respective durations of the accumulating. The outputs of the three bistable devices are coupled for respectively energizing three buses, to which the light emitting diodes of three primary colors are connected in accordance with their colors, for controlling the portions of the light signals of the primary colors emitted therefrom.
Abstract:
A continuously variable color display system includes a plurality of display areas, each including three light emitting diodes, for emitting light signals of respectively different primary colors, which are controlled by three bistable devices, respectively. Each bistable device is set at the beginning of a time interval, defined by a corresponding input digital code, and reset at the end of the time interval. Accordingly, the light emitting diodes jointly illuminate in a composite color determined by three input digital codes.
Abstract:
A variable color display systems sequentially exhibits digital values in a color in accordance with the relation of the presently exhibited digital value to a past digital value. A memory, controlled by a timer, is provided for storing data representing the past digital value. A comparator compares the presently exhibited digital value with the data stored in the memory and develops a comparison signal accordingly, which is then used to control the color of the presently exhibited digital value.
Abstract:
A display system comprises a display area for exhibiting in a selective color a digital value, comparator for developing a signal in accordance with a relation of the digital value to a limit, and color control for illuminating the exhibited digital value in a color in accordance with the signal.
Abstract:
A measuring instrument comprises a DC section for processing DC signals, an AC section for processing AC signals, and an OHMS sections for performing resistance measurements. A first switch is provided for selectively activating one of the three measurement sections. The measured value of the signal is digitally exhibited in a color which is controlled by a second switch in accordance with the measurement section selected.
Abstract:
A measuring device comprises a plurality of signal converters, for measuring a signal by different measuring methods, and a selector, for selectively activating one of the signal converters. A control signal is developed in accordance with the activated signal converter. The measured value of the signal is exhibited in a color which is controlled by the control signal, to indicate the selected measuring method.
Abstract:
A switching device includes a contact movable between two positions, to selectively open and close an electrical path, and a multicolor light emitting diode for indicating different positions of the contact by respectively different colors. The multicolor light emitting diode directs a light beam which is reflected from the contact in accordance with its position on one of two light sensors. The color of the light beam is controlled in accordance with the outputs of the light sensors.
Abstract:
An electrical zero insertion force connector includes a tubular elongated conducting body having an opening at its one end for inserting a conductor and a socket with a plurality of integral gripping jaws resiliently extending into the body and away from the opening. An insulating slider is arranged within the body for reciprocating movement between an engaging position, for deflecting the jaws into intimate electrical contacts with the conductor, and a disengaging position, for releasing the jaws from the conductor. The slider protrudes from an end of the body opposite the opening.
Abstract:
A variable color display device simultaneously indicates values of first digital data in digital format and values of second digital data in variable color.
