Abstract:
The present invention provides a semiconductor device comprising a semiconductor element, a single-layer wiring board on which the semiconductor element is mounted, a connector section located at an end of the single-layer wiring board, a thermally and electrically conductive radiator plate, a relay electrode section formed on the single-layer wiring board, and a connecting member that electrically connects the radiator plate and the relay electrode section together. The single-layer wiring board is structured so that a power supply potential and/or a ground potential received by the connector section is transmitted through a path comprising the radiator plate, the relay electrode section, and the connecting member to the semiconductor element.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for detecting nerve stem cells/progenitor cells among a tissue or a mass of cells as constituted of a plurality of cell species, and a method for screening for a drug functioning as a nerve differentiation factor or the like by using the above-mentioned detection method. It was found in this invention that the expression of the NC1 gene was high in undifferentiated nerve stem cells and said expression decreased with an advance of differentiation. Furthermore in this invention, by using the NC1 gene, the product thereof (NC1 protein) and the base sequences or the amino acid sequences thereof, antibodies or the like, it became possible to detect nerve stem cells/progenitor cells by way of various methods, so that a novel method for screening for a drug functioning as a nerve differentiation factor or the like was provided.

A display driving apparatus according to an implementation of the present invention includes: a first delay circuit that generates latch control signals changing with different timings; a second delay circuit that generates falling delay signals and rising delay signals by delaying the latch control signals; a delay selection circuit that (i) selects the falling delay signals or the rising delay signals when pixel data for adjacent display output terminals have changed in different directions and (ii) selects the latch control signals when pixel data for adjacent display output terminals have changed in the same direction; and a step control circuit that drives the display output terminals with timings of the signals selected by the delay signal circuit.
Abstract:
A PAL signal demodulating apparatus comprises BPF filters that perform band pass filtering to pass a chroma band for frames 1 to 5, thereby producing the BPF output signals for the frames, a 3D color phase distortion correcting color signal acquiring unit that calculates correlations between frames 1 and 3 and between frames 3 and 5 and takes a weighted average of the BPF output signals for frames 2 and 4 with weights according to the two calculated correlations, thereby producing a 3D color phase distortion correcting color signal N, and a carrier chrominance signal extracting unit that takes the addition/subtraction of the BPF output signal for frame 3 and the 3D color phase distortion correcting color signal, thereby extracting carrier chrominance signals, to perform correctly U/V separation for a line different in color from its preceding and following lines in the same frame.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a scaffold in which cells can be stably retained and grafted in a uniform distribution state in the culture, preferable proliferation ability and viability can be secured, and particularly in the case of cartilage, fixation treatment such as suture can be carried out in the transplantation into affected parts after the culture, and the mechanical strength is provided sustainable for (weighted) compression at the initial stage of transplantation. The present invention relates to a 3-dimensional porous scaffold for tissue regeneration which comprises a structure composed of vertically long-shaped pores having a pore diameter of not less than 10 μm to not more than 500 μm and pore length of not less than 20 μm to not more than 1 cm being juxtaposedly arranged obtained by a production process comprising rapid freeze-drying as a key technology. Further, the invention relates to the above 3-dimensional porous scaffold in which seeding properties of cells are improved by a pore enlargement treatment of one side face by a separation operation, a salt elution operation of a surface part, or a combination of these operations. It becomes possible to produce a 3-dimensional cell combination having excellent degree of tissue formation and medical treatment effect by seeding a cell or precursor cell derived from a tissue in this scaffold, and culturing them in an artificial environment and/or the living body.

Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to detect and select insulin-producing cells capable of proliferating, and further to differentiate/proliferate insulin-producing cells and precursory thereof, or cells related thereto. The present invention was made by finding three species of novel genes by detecting genes specifically expressed in pancreases of PHHI patients which are regarded as a model of spontaneous proliferation of pancreatic β cells, and searching for base sequence data bases. According to the present invention, proliferating insulin-producing cells can be detected using these genes, gene products or gene sequences by, for example, Northern analysis or RT-PCR. Furthermore, these genes can be differentiated into insulin-producing cells by introducing these genes into appropriate cells in genetic engineering manner.
Abstract:
An automatic transport system for green tires between a forming process and a vulcanizing process in a tire manufacturing installing in which different kinds of tires are manufactured through a forming process of making use of a plurality of forming machines and a subsequent vulcanizing process making use of a plurality of vulcanizing machines. The automatic transport system comprises pallets each adapted to be charged with four or more formed green tires and to be used for transporting them as one unit. A temporary storage is interposed between a forming machine group and a vulcanizing machine group for temporarily storing the pallets at predetermined locations. Forming side unmanned transport trucks circulate between the forming machine group and the temporary storage with the pallet loaded thereon. Vulcanizing side unmanned transport trucks circulate between the temporary storage and the vulcanizing machine group with the pallet loaded thereon. Associated with the respective forming machines, a device places green tires into the pallet and loads the pallet onto the forming side unmanned transport truck. Associated with the respective vulcanizing machines, a device unloads the pallet from the vulcanizing side unmanned transport truck and discharges green tires from the pallet. Associated with the temporary storage, a device carries a green tires from the forming side unmanned transport truck, and associated with the temporary storage another device carries green tires onto the vulcanizing side unmanned transport truck. A control system controls travel of the forming side unmanned transport truck and the vulcanizing side unmanned transport truck in response to truck demands issued form the respective forming machines and vulcanizig machines, independently of each other.
